To continue our series on the G&B page where we highlight someone on our staff, we would like to introduce:

Kelly Brunscheen PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

Kelly has been a part of the G&B team since she graduated in 2015 from SUNY Upstate Medical University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and immediately came to Cortland after having a great clinical experience at Goldwyn & Boyland during medical school. Kelly became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2014, a BirthFit! Coach, and an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2019. Kelly completed her undergraduate work at SUNY Geneseo and graduated with a B.S. in biology and was a member of their Track and Cross Country teams.

Kelly’s passion is guiding individuals to their highest potential for improved quality of life for the whole person; mind, body, and spirit. In addition to movement-based physical therapy and fitness coaching, Kelly also focuses on helping people learn and understand their autonomic nervous systems which is important for all but can be radically helpful for those who struggle with anxiety, insomnia, IBS, and other chronic conditions. Combining her vision of treating the “whole person”, Kelly works with individuals to help them learn the
“language of their nervous system” and how this important protective system impacts their daily lives.

In her free time, Kelly enjoys many activities on her own wellness journey. Her favorite things involve spending time with her community of family, friends and faith. She is an active member of her church and an inner-healing prayer ministry team. Kelly is a 46er of the Adirondack Mountains and loves to be out in nature. Whether running, hiking, skiing or cycling, Kelly enjoys moving in different ways and is open to new adventures (especially with the family pup!). The Buffalo Bills are her forever team and her favorite past-time is her weekly voice lessons (and might be why she has been frequently called the “singing PT”!)

Kelly’s patients and co-workers would describe her as wholesome, passionate, caring, calming, kind, empathetic, and dog lover! Thank you, Kelly, for all that you do for your patients and the G&B team!

To continue our series on the G&B page where we highlight someone on our staff, we would like to introduce:

Sulekha Modi

Sulekha has been a part of the G&B team since 2023 as a Certified Yoga Instructor. Her certifications include YTT 500 Vinyasa, Hot, Nidra, Restorative, Paddleboard, and Chair Yoga, and Thai massage. Sulekha is passionate about yoga because of its benefits in strength, stress and anxiety relief, flexibility, and lifelong health. Prior to joining the team, Sulekha graduated from SUNY Cortland with BA in Outdoor Recreation and a MS in Recreation Management. While at SUNY Cortland, Sulekha was a huge part of the Women's Gymnastics team as she was 3 time National Champion for Cortland and a 7 time All-American. In 2019, Sulekha was inducted into the NCAA Division III Hall of Fame for all of her hard work and accomplishments. Prior to traveling back up to Cortland, Sulekha worked as a Director of Recreation in Senior Living facilities in Fishkill and Westchester and ran an Independent Living Facility in Goshen, NY. In 2019, Sulekha was invited to become the Head Gymnastics Coach at SUNY Cortland and since has been a trail blazer with her team. In 2024, Sulekha was nominated Regional and National Coach of the Year! Last season, her team came in 2nd at Regionals and 6th at Nationals, which was the first time in over 6 years Cortland had earned a berth to Nationals. Since becoming head coach, there have been 6 All-American gymnasts in the program (top 8 individual event winners at Nationals) with 2 of them being National Champion Runner-ups and 1 National Champion. Sulekha notes "coaching has become a passion and a lifestyle" which also allows her to travel around the country recruiting and working camps during her off season. She is also bringing her passion for yoga into SUNY Cortland through working with the Men's Ice Hockey Team with recovery yoga classes.

In her free time, Sulekha loves to travel, especially to Thailand and Costa Rica, spend summers at Cape May, NJ, be with her friends and family, be outside adventuring and of course- spending time with her puppy, Coco. Sulekha has climbed 18 of the 46 high peaks, trained horses to ride and drive during COVID, is always up for an adventure, and loves to do handstands wherever she can on her travels. Sulekha's fun fact: she loves to learn about great white sharks and someday wants to be able to swim with them! (with her in the cage)

Sulekha's co-workers and yogis would define her as down-to-earth, smart, motivated, dedicated, thoughtful, an enthusiastic leader, a fashionista, and a doting puppy mama. Thank you Sulekha for all you do for us at the G&B team and your yogis, we couldn't do it without you!

To continue our new series on the G&B page where we highlight someone on our staff, we would like to introduce:

Greg Streblow, PT, MPS, CSCS, YFS

Greg has been a part of the G&B team since 1999 as a physical therapist and a strength and conditioning coach. Greg graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical University with a Master of Professional Sciences in Physical Therapy and received his Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. While Greg has been here for 25 years, he has been helping to rehab, coach and train others for years prior. Greg has been educating, teaching, and leading patients, new PTs, PT students, and aspiring PTs for years.

Greg has worked with countless athletes from SUNY Cortland and local schools on various sports teams. When in the US Army, Greg developed and led award winning physical training programs for soldiers; and has brought this passion into the practice through the development of the Move Better Fitness program. This program allows patients and community members of all ages and abilities to exercise with others, improving their health, mobility, and pain levels. Additionally, Greg was invited into the Olympic Training camp to work with several Pro, Olympic and Paralympic athletes on both men's and women's sport teams including: gymnastics, trampoline, swimming, weight lifting, track and field, biathlon, modern pentathlon, track and road cycling, downhill and freestyle skiing, ski jumping, bobsled, skeleton, luge, softball, baseball, soccer, hockey, team handball, wrestling, boxing, fencing, karate, judo, taekwondo, and shooting. Greg also traveled with the handball team for their national championship and international tournaments.

In his free time, Greg enjoys walking, hiking, and playing with his pup, Keene, climbing high peaks, discovering trails to travel to, hike, and complete, and stay active outside. Greg is a 46er, has hiked more than half of the Appalachian Trail and has hiked several other peaks and trails including: the John Muir Trail, the Grand Canyon, Zion and Mount Rainier. Greg's fun fact: Greg has hiked most of the eastern seaboard and has brought Keene along for some of the journey!

Greg's co-workers and patients would define him as honest, intelligent, quick witted, funny, tenacious, fair, and a trivia master. Thank you Greg for all you do for your patients, fitness members, and the G&B team!
