About Holiday Helpers of Northeast Ohio
April 2019, we started to collect left over yard sales that were donated to us so we can help raise money for a family members medical bills. By July we had over 200 families donate their left over yard sales and we had people donate items they no longer needed. The week of July 4th we had put on a huge indoor/outdoor sale and were able to raise money to take care of a lot of their medical bills. Not only were we able to help a family member we raised enough or we had enough donations left to help another family with medical bills, a family that lost belongings in a fire and a family that lost belongings because of a flood.
Even after the July Sale was over we were still receiving phone calls from people that still wanted to donate so we decided to keep accepting donations and start selling the donations online or at different locations or wherever we could find a spot to setup and raise money to help families in need during the Holidays. By December we had raised enough to sponsor several families and put gifts under trees for twelve children.
Now today after seeing the happiness and joy we were able to give these families that just needed a little extra help. After knowing what it was like for me many years ago. All the stress and Struggles I endured during the Holidays. It was such a good feeling and I enjoyed being able to help other families in the same situation I once was. After the Holidays we decided to keep going and keep accepting donations so we can keep helping families in need.
