âď¸ Station 1: Jesus Is Condemned to Death
Again the high priest asked him, âAre you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?â Jesus said, âI am; and âyou will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power,â and âcoming with the clouds of heaven.ââ Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, âWhy do we still need witnesses? You have heard his blasphemy! What is your decision?â All of them condemned him as deserving death.
(Mark 14:61-64)
Reflection
The innocent Son of God stands before human judgment. Though falsely accused, He offers no defense. He accepts the verdict that should have been ours. In this moment, Jesus enters fully into every rejection, every injustice, every moment we have ever felt unheard, unseen, or unloved.
Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, when I face unfairness or feel misunderstood, teach me to look to You, who bore injustice with courage and love. Give me a heart that trusts the Father even when the world feels against me. Amen.
