As DDW approaches, there will be a strong focus on new data shaping colorectal cancer screening strategies.

This includes poster sessions featuring research on f***l immunochemical testing, including work on quantitative FIT and its potential future role in refining screening approaches.

If you are attending DDW 2026 in Chicago, these sessions may provide valuable perspective on how FIT continues to evolve within screening pathways.

Polymedco will be onsite and available to discuss how insights into real-world screening programs. Visit us at booth 2337.

Colorectal cancer screening continues to evolve as health systems work to improve early detection while expanding access and adherence.

For many gastroenterologists, this means balancing clinical performance with scalable, population-based approaches.

F***l immunochemical testing remains a key part of that conversation, particularly as programs look to increase participation through noninvasive options.

Polymedco will be at DDW 2026 in Chicago from May 2 – 5 and we look forward to connecting with clinicians who are focused on advancing screening strategies.

If you are attending, we hope you will stop by our booth and connect with our team.

45 is the New 50: Why Your Colon Health Can’t Wait

Colorectal cancer is highly preventable, but timing is everything. If you are 45 or older, screening should be at the top of your "to-do" list.

Quick Facts for Patients:
• The Age Shift: Leading health experts now recommend screening start at 45 for average-risk adults.
• Zero Symptoms: Screening is for people who feel healthy. Waiting for symptoms often means waiting too long.
• Your Choice: From simple at-home kits to colonoscopies, you have options.

If you are 45 and haven't been screened, it’s time to talk to your doctor. Early detection saves lives.

Only two tests meet the highest evidence standard for colorectal cancer screening:

Colonoscopy and f***l immunochemical testing (FIT).

According to the U.S. Multi-Society Task Force on Colorectal Cancer, these Tier 1 tests rise above flexible sigmoidoscopy, multitarget stool DNA tests, colon capsule endoscopy, and CT colonography due to their strong evidence base demonstrating their cost-effectiveness, accuracy, and ability to prevent colorectal cancer incidence and mortality. Annual FIT and colonoscopy every 10 years also result in similar life-years gained.

This Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month (and every month moving forward!), recommend the best to your patients. Recommend Tier 1 tests.

Small test. Big difference.

Did you know that 90% of colorectal cancer deaths are preventable if caught early?

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, an important time to remember that this disease is one of the most preventable forms of cancer. Early detection is the most effective tool we have to save lives.

Why screening matters:
• Catch it early: Screening can find polyps so they can be removed before they ever become cancerous.
• No symptoms required: Early-stage colorectal cancer often shows no warning signs.
• Guidelines have changed: If you are at average risk, routine screening should now begin at age 45.

Talk to your healthcare provider about your screening options today.

It is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, the perfect time to turn routine checkups into life-saving breakthroughs. For your patients aged 45 and up, a little encouragement goes a long way toward closing the screening gap.

Start the dialogue with patients 45+:
• Ask about risk factors and screening history
• Review the two Tier 1 options: colonoscopy and FIT
• Explain key differences and address their questions
• Help them choose the option that fits their preferences
• Order the FIT kit or colonoscopy referral
• Encourage follow through to reduce their cancer risk

Better communication equals increased screenings. Help catch cancer earlier, when treatment is most effective.

It’s time to start talking.
