20 minute battles about going potty,

getting dressed,

She would even apologize and self correct (what the..?)

I would laugh in disbelief when I thought about how hard she used to fight me on the same things. It brought such great relief, waking up each morning feeling confident facing the day ahead with my kids. I no longer felt dread at each transition in our day, knowing I could count on her to cooperate. And, I felt so much pride and joy in our relationship, I felt I could burst at the seams.
