All car seats are safe to use, but the safest one is the one that fits your child’s age/height/weight/developmental needs; fits your vehicle; and you can use it correctly every time. For help finding a car seat, visit https://bit.ly/382yytA

“I’ve been told it’s best to wait until six months of age to give my breastfed baby solid foods. Why?”

✳️It keeps the focus on your milk. Your milk changes to meet your baby’s needs, adjusting for growth, development, and exposure to germs. No other food can do that.
✳️Feeding only human milk until about six months protects your baby’s gut health, which helps with lifelong health
✳️Waiting until six months reduces the risk of food allergies

It's Black Maternal Health Week — a time to focus on making pregnancy and early parenthood safer for Black families. This yearly event is led by Black Mamas Matter Alliance (Black Mamas Matter Alliance), a Black woman-led birth justice group.

Black pregnant people face real dangers that come from the systems around them, not from anything they've done wrong. Research shows that having a doula who shares your culture and background can help keep you and your baby safer and healthier.
