Signal boost on behalf of Community Doula Program President Dr. Melissa Cheyney:

"Have you used Spinning Babies® or similar techniques during labor?

Whether you're a parent who used them in your own birth—or an OB-GYN, L&D nurse, midwife, or doula—we’d love to hear from you!

We’re gathering real-world insights to design a clinical trial to test them.

Our goal is to understand which techniques are used most frequently and why, and then to utilize these insights to design a clinical trial to test them.

Community Doula Program honors Black Maternal Mental Health Week!

Did you know?
40% of Black mothers experience postpartum depression — nearly double the rate of white mothers, and too often, their struggles are overlooked.

At Community Doula Program, our culturally matched doulas bring shared experiences and offer mental health screenings to the families we serve.

Follow Shades of Blue Project () to keep up with the work they do for Black Maternal Mental Health Week year-round, and check out our IG stories as we share resources and posts all week!

CDP doulas are certified Traditional Health Workers in the State of Oregon!❓ What does that mean ❓

➡️ Traditional Health Workers are:
✔️ Frontline public health workers

✔️ Under the direction of a licensed health provider

🌼 Doulas are one of the 5 types of Traditional Health Workers. Others help families and children with recovery from addiction and mental health and physical conditions, assist with navigating barriers to education, and more!

🫄🏽Having a baby?
