Once again, the solution is more cheese.
...according to a 2026 prospective cohort study of 3,414 women.
The overall GDM incidence for women in the study was 4.96%. Calcium levels were analyzed by quartile, and higher calcium intake was inversely associated with GDM.
When they analyzed the data by low vs high intake (795 mg/day), they found a 42% lower risk of GDM in those consuming >795 mg/day.
