Beavs Helping Kids

Student organization that raises money for our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital through beaverTHON! www.helpmakemiracles.org/event/bhk

Beavs Helping Kids is student run philanthropic organization that raises money for the local Children's Miracle Network hospital. As one of three of Oregon's Children's Miracle Network hospitals, Sacred Heart Hospital treats all children regardless of the family's ability to pay. In addition, there are no administrative costs which means all the money Beavs Helping Kids fundraises will go directly to the children. Sacred Heart Hospital sees about 500 infants in the their NICU and 3,500 pediatric patients every year. At the end of the year long fundraising efforts a Dance Marathon is put on to celebrate our success and dance for those kids who can't. This year's fundraising goal has been set to over 20,000 dollars. Our Dance Marathon is April 18, 2015 in the MU Ballroom.

General information

This is a new student organization on campus recruiting new members to be apart of the executive officers, committees and dancers at the event. In the near future you may register as a team or as an individual dancer at beaverTHON. Each person will have their own unique donor drive webpage to fundraise money and get the word out about Beavs Helping Kids. At the cumulative event, called beaverTHON, there will be a variety of activities, along with dancing. Most importantly, local Miracle Families that have benefited from Children's Miracle Network will be there to share their story and show us why what we are doing really matters. This is an opportunity for dancers, committee members and exec members to meet some of the children they help raise money for.
