I am in Lincoln City today to pick up my Brother's Memorial glass pieces that I commissioned. They are absolutely gorgeous and they both contain some of his ashes swirled into the glass.
The larger heart is blue and gold to honor his crazy weird optimism for the San Diego Chargers. 😹
And the smaller heart is a pendant and is red and gold because it will ride with me in my fire red Jeep.
John spent A LOT of time, the last year of his life, riding passenger as I drove him to as many appointments as I was able. And to his credit, he handled it about as well as he could. He did not backseat drive me nearly as often as he wanted to. That was a very rare form of patience on John's behalf. 😹
Hopefully, my brother is laughing at the idea that part of his physical essence will now be a forever passenger in my Jeep as I am driving around.

It is good to have this beautiful, almost windless, day on the beach just spend some time with him.
John loved the beach, no matter where he was, although Hawaii was always his favorite.

My brother, John Vasseur , is undoubtedly looking down from Heaven with pride and love on his son, Aris. Aris is about to start his Senior Year in High School as the Quarterback for his team.
These are his media shots and he looks very much the fierce young man on the field that he is.
Thank you Nilima Vasseur for sharing these with me. 💜
I'm looking forward to attending his first game Friday with a whole host of other family and friends to support Aris. His Dad will be with us in Spirit. John never missed a single thing his boys did.
I've cried pretty much every day this week when I think about the game on Friday.

Tonight is Imbolc Eve. This weekend we celebrate the Irish Goddess Brigid who heralds this Sacred Celtic Fire Ritual. At this time we enter pre-Spring and our bodies begin to respond to the return of the Light. Our blood begins to quicken. This is the time of the first planting, new seeds sown.

Brigid is here to aid our new inspirations, working in harmony with the Earth, abundance, magick and the weaving of our dreams into reality. This is the time we sow our new intentions, speak them aloud to Mother Brigid, feel them in your Heart and give them the energy to flourish.

Celebrate Imbolc with first plantings, honor Brigid at your altar or hearth with white or green candles, herb bundles, and symbols of Spring. Fire magick and an outdoor fire. Look for the first signs of Spring around your home. Bake breads and grain based goodies with cinnamon, journal your new intentions. Call upon Brigid for protection of your home and to aid you with your new dreams for your life.

The beauty in ritual is that it does not always need to be grandiose. True intention and emotional connection to your ritual is more important then how fancy it is. So follow your hearts both with how are you honor Brigid and give thanks for and celebrate the coming Spring.
