The time has come to share the historical building blocks of Butt Drugs. We are in the midst of an online auction, ending August 8th, with an open house/inspection at the store August 3rd, 4p-6p. From original coffee mugs, to fish on the walls caught by the founding fathers, Sandy the Horse, Elvis decanters, and signage and apparel, these are all mementos that we are thankful to go to good hands. When we announced the closing mid April, we were overwhelmed with the love and support from everyone, near and far. Thank you for the hugs, letters, phone calls, flowers, and uplifting words throughout this hard time. Although it felt like a 2 week long wake before our last day on May 1, it will always be remembered as a celebration of life that was shared with you. Butt Drugs will always have enduring love for our community and loyal customers. We hope you are able to cherish and reminisce with us as we spread the ashes, and celebrate the life of Butt Drugs.

All items in the auction were remaining at store at the time of closing. We sorted and through 71 years of memorabilia for weeks. We found a case of shirts from our 69th birthday was got buried in storage. All other apparel and merchandise were from displays.

After 71 years this family owned drug store closed its doors on April 29. Stay tuned for a large auction, highlights: vintage advertising, signage, "Sandy" coin-operated kiddie ride, 1950-1960's soda fountain, memorabilia, Corydon memorabilia, store fixtures, & related items.
