This week, we had the pleasure of recognizing our BHT staff in honor of Direct Support Professionals Day. We are truly grateful for the dedication, compassion, and commitment you demonstrate each day in supporting our clients—your hard work never goes unnoticed.

In 2024, roughly 48.4 million individuals suffered from a substance use disorder. Of those aged 18 and older who believed they had a problem with alcohol or drug use approximately 23.5 million consider themselves to be in recovery or recovered. Relapse rates remain high, especially early in recovery: between 40-60% of individuals treated for Substance use disoroder relapse within the first year. While many people with SUDs do not receive formal treatment—over 80% of those needing treatment went untreated in the past year—those who do recover or perceive themselves to have recovered represent a large and growing segment.
