We here at Corydon Specialty Care are committed to the concept that each patient deserves the best quality of life possible. We approach this concept as a team who works closely with the patients’ physician to develop a customized care plan that meets all the patients’ needs – physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual. Our friendly staff, nurses, therapists and aides ensure a safe, homelike environment.
Located on the edge of Corydon, we provide private and semi-private rooms. Thirteen rooms are served for individuals suffering from Chronic Confusion or Dementing Illness (CCDI) such as Alzheimer’s disease. In this wing, we have increased safety and security measures and created a low-stimulus environment. In conjunction with individualized care plans, this dedicated area assists our residents to optimize their remaining functions, assists them in their losses, and provides an environment to minimize stress and barriers.
Physical, occupational and speech therapists are on hand daily to work one-on-one with each patient. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows each patient to maximize mobility, gain strength, increase flexibility and balance as well as speed healing from any injury that may have occurred.
