Hi friends 🤍
I’m going to cancel our 6pm Restorative class this evening (2/19).
If I’m honest, I’m feeling really depleted. Grief has a way of quietly wearing you down, and today I need to listen to that. I’m always encouraging you to honor your energy, to practice self-care, to rest when your body and heart ask for it — and tonight I need to take my own advice.
Restorative will be back next week, and I look forward to holding space together again. Thank you for your understanding and for being such a compassionate community.
Take gentle care of yourselves this evening, perhaps practicing some of your favorite restorative poses or savoring some delicious chocolates (that’s part of my plan) 🤍Jen

Sir Purrs A lot (aka Spatty Cat) is “helping” me plan our restorative yoga class for tomorrow evening. It’s the first Thursday of the month and that means Anne-Marie with AMB Bodywork will be offering gentle hands-on assists and mini massages during our 6pm class. I will be guiding you into relaxing poses fully supported by props and playing various sound healing instruments.
This class was waitlisted last month so be sure to reserve your space in advance. We have 6 spaces available. Here’s the link to sign up or book through your Momence app.
***Spat won’t be attending our class, but he sure loves practicing yoga with me. He will be 15 years old in April.

💕 Bring a Friend February! 💕
You already know how much we love our studio community—and now it’s your chance to share that love. For the entire month of February, every class you sign up for comes with a free guest pass. Bring a friend, a coworker, your partner, or your favorite workout buddy and enjoy class together!
✨ A small favor to help things run smoothly:
We don’t have a dedicated front desk, and check-in can get busy—especially with new faces. Please have your guest create a Momence account before their visit so we can add them to class quickly.
👉 Pro tip: After you register, you’re welcome to message us to book your guest into class—this is especially helpful for our busier classes that tend to fill up fast.
We can’t wait to see you and your friends on the mat this February! 🧘♀️💖

I took my first yoga class in 2005 at the gym and felt really lost (downward what?) and embarrassed. I tried a few more classes at other facilities and decided yoga was not for me. I would play around with some videos at home off and on over the years, but it wasn’t until 2014 before I really gave yoga another chance...and it wasn’t by choice. I was recovering from a running injury and my PT prescribed (forced) me to practice yoga. There was a lot of resistance at first, and it took several more attempts to find a place I could practice and feel comfortable. Once I was fully recovered, I continued my practice off and on at home.
I went to a beer festival in 2016 with my husband, and after a few too many IPA’s I placed a bid on a silent auction item for a 3 month pass to 502 Power Yoga. I had no idea where this studio was located or even what it was about. I was called two days later to claim my prize I won. At first I was going to sell that pass for what I paid for it. I was struggling with several things in my life including severe anxiety and depression and didn't feel “good enough” to go to a studio. I decided to be bigger than my fear and give it a try. That was the catalyst I needed to change my life. I LOVED the practice, community, and changes I saw in myself both on and off my mat. I became a regular yogi, started working at the studio on the Energy Exchange Team, and was later trained to be on the Assisting Team. I used to laugh when some of my teachers and mentors mentioned me becoming a yoga teacher...no way!! Well... here I am.
I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training with 502 Power Yoga in March 2019. I am always continuing my studies to learn more and make yoga accessible for EVERYbody. Along with my own yoga classes I also I teach some with Kentucky Yoga Initiative to bring yoga into underserved areas of the city and Betsy’s Barnyard Yoga...cat or goat yoga anyone?? I am a “yoga nerd” and love learning new things to share with others. I know first hand the incredible healing power yoga has not only for the body, but the mind too. I love sharing this practice with anyone and everyone, but I especially love teaching beginners.
I live in Corydon with my husband, Nathan, whom you may see at some of my classes and is always so supportive and shares his humor. We have two long-haired black cats named Sir Purrs A lot (Spat for short) and Sophia. When I am not working as a dental hygienist or doing something yoga related, I love to be outdoors or chilling with family and friends. I enjoy visiting microbreweries, hiking, going to yoga festivals, and stand up paddle boarding (SUP) and yes, I even practice yoga on the paddle board sometimes. I’m always up for an adventure and want to LIVE LIFE LOUD!!!
