New Directions For Women

New Directions For Women Women, women with children and pregnant women are welcome at our nationally recognized, certified, oldest gender-specific addiction treatment center in OC.

New Directions for Women is a gender-specific facility exclusively for women suffering from drug and alcohol abuse, chemical dependency, and other addictive disorders. We offer addiction detox and rehab services for women, pregnant women, and women with children. We believe that all women deserve care despite their ability to pay for treatment. Every woman and child who comes through our doors receives some amount of scholarship funds. Our aim is to raise half a million dollars a year, which goes directly to the Pamela Wilder Scholarship Fund to ensure more women and their children are able to receive the quality treatment they need. By providing exceptional, gender-separate and specific addiction treatment services that are grounded in 12-Step principles, New Directions for Women assists women, families and their children to achieve sustained responsible recovery from addiction.

Hi friends! 🐾

New Directions for Women & Thrive Treatment are hosting a fun networking meet-up at the dog park!

Bring your pup(s) and join us for a relaxed afternoon of connecting with colleagues, meeting new faces, and catching up with familiar ones. It’s the perfect chance to network while enjoying some fresh air and time with our four-legged friends.

Feel free to bring your lunch or a snack to enjoy while we hang out—there will be a few tables available. There are a few tables there where will be hanging out while the pups roam!

& if you don’t have a pup, please free to still come & hang! Looking forward to seeing you there. 🫶🏻

This Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, we honor the women who came before us — the ones who challenged limits, opened doors, and helped shape a more equal world for the generations that followed.

At New Directions for Women, we’re reminded every day of the strength, resilience, and compassion women carry within them. From the past to the present, women continue to uplift one another, share their stories, and create spaces for healing, growth, and possibility.

Here’s to celebrating the voices, courage, and contributions of women everywhere — and to continuing the journey forward together. 💜

Mallory, an Alumnae of NDFW shares the moment that stood out most to her during her time at New Directions for Women — the kind of moment that stays with you long after treatment ends.

We are so incredibly proud of the woman she is today. Watching her reflect on her journey with this much courage and gratitude is everything.

Mallory, you are an inspiration. Your willingness to share your story reminds other women that healing is possible, and that no one has to walk this path alone. 🤍

At New Directions for Women, the heart of everything we do is our team.

The passion, the dedication, the way they show up fully for every woman who walks through our doors, it’s not just work to them. It’s purpose. It’s belief. It’s a deep commitment to helping women heal, grow, and build a new life.

We are endlessly grateful for the compassion, integrity, and care they bring every single day. The mission is strong because the people behind it are even stronger. 🤍

To the hearts behind the hard conversations, the safe spaces, and the second chances. 💛

Your compassion isn’t just a job, it’s a lifeline. You show up on the hard days, sit in the messy moments, and fight for people who don’t always have the strength to fight for themselves.

This month (and every month), we see you. We value you. We are endlessly grateful for the lives you uplift, defend, and transform.

Happy Social Worker Appreciation Month 🤍

New Directions for Women in Costa Mesa is a nonprofit women’s treatment center that has been helping women heal from addiction since 1977. For nearly five decades, we’ve helped thousands of women start a new life through a trauma-responsive, women-centered approach to recovery.

Our programs include detox, residential treatment, PHP (partial hospitalization), IOP (intensive outpatient), and sober living, all designed to meet women where they are. Using narrative therapy and trauma-responsive care, we support women in understanding their stories, healing from trauma, and creating lasting change in recovery.

If you haven’t toured our campus, we’d love to show you around. Call us at (949) 894-4331 or visit www.ndfw.org for more information.
