New Directions For Women

New Directions For Women Women, women with children and pregnant women are welcome at our nationally recognized, certified, oldest gender-specific addiction treatment center in OC.

New Directions for Women is a gender-specific facility exclusively for women suffering from drug and alcohol abuse, chemical dependency, and other addictive disorders. We offer addiction detox and rehab services for women, pregnant women, and women with children. We believe that all women deserve care despite their ability to pay for treatment. Every woman and child who comes through our doors receives some amount of scholarship funds. Our aim is to raise half a million dollars a year, which goes directly to the Pamela Wilder Scholarship Fund to ensure more women and their children are able to receive the quality treatment they need. By providing exceptional, gender-separate and specific addiction treatment services that are grounded in 12-Step principles, New Directions for Women assists women, families and their children to achieve sustained responsible recovery from addiction.

🧠✨ It’s Mental Illness Awareness Week! ✨🧠

From October 5th-11th, we’re dedicating the week to breaking the stigma, raising awareness, and supporting mental health in all its forms. 💙

Each day, we’ll focus on one important aspect of mental health—starting with understanding what mental illness truly is, to the power of seeking help, practicing self-care, and celebrating progress. 🌱

Swipe through to see how you can make a difference, whether it’s by learning more, supporting someone you care about, or simply starting a conversation. 💬

Remember: Mental health is just as important as physical health, and we’re all in this together. Let’s continue the work of breaking down barriers and creating a world where everyone feels safe to speak up. 🌍

🔁 Share this post to spread awareness and help normalize the conversation! Together, we can create change. 💪

🌿 We’re excited to share that New Directions for Women will be attending the 2025 Wellbriety Conference in Portland, Oregon from October 3–5!

✨ For those unfamiliar, Wellbriety is a movement rooted in Native American traditions that promotes recovery, healing, and wellness through the balance of mind, body, spirit, and community. It emphasizes living a sober life (“sobriety”) while also fostering overall wellness (“wellness”)—hence, Wellbriety.

🏵️ New Directions for Women is proud to be Wellbriety Certified, which means our program honors these teachings and integrates culturally rooted healing practices into the recovery journey. We are committed to supporting women with respect, compassion, and holistic care.

We’re honored to be part of this year’s conference and look forward to connecting, learning, and growing in community.

🌈✨ This year, New Directions for Women had the honor of attending and exhibiting the OC Pride Festival & Parade as part of the Recovery Village! 💙

We shared resources and support for substance use and mental health within the LGBTQ+ community, and it was such a privilege to hold space in this way. 🫶

Visitors to our booth were invited to write messages of hope and encouragement for the incredible women currently in treatment with us—and the love that poured in was truly inspiring. 💌💜

Together, we rise. Together, we heal.

✨ Intros & Insights happens every 1st & 3rd Tuesday from 9:30–10:30 AM PT on Zoom!

This virtual gathering was created for professionals in the mental health and substance use space to come together, share resources, and strengthen our community. Whether you’re a clinician, interventionist, treatment provider, or simply passionate about helping others, this is a chance to connect with colleagues who share the same mission.

We’d love to have you join us as we highlight programs making an impact and create new opportunities to collaborate.
