The philosophy of chiropractors is a universal principle; structure affects function. This principle applies to the world we live in as well as our bodies. If, for example, your car has a flat tire, its structure is compromised. As a result, your car won't drive as well, if at all. The same concept applies to the scaffolding and frame of our own bodies. If our frame or structure is less than optimal, due to restricted muscles, misaligned vertebraes, or poor posture, our function as a person is also going to be less than optimal! A structurally sound spine and frame must be maintained to achieve health. Chiropractic and Yoga are a healthy double whammy for your spine and nervous system. Currently enrolled in a post doctorate program in Integrative Medicine. I will share with you some of this powerful knowledge that I’m gaining!
Integrative approach to chronic disease:
1. What is missing in the body? -nutrients, vitamins, minerals, endorphins
2. What is toxic in the body- heavy metals, environmental toxins, STRESS, negative thinking
3. How are these factors impacting the way your cells communicate with each other so that the body can function?
4. What are the metabolic abnormalities (as seen on blood work or urine samples) as a result of the way cells are functioning?

If you sit at a desk and your back hurts and gets stiff, then this quick exercise is for you. When you sit, your back muscles get rounded and deactivated . Your gut instinct may be to round forward to stretch them, but that’s the worst thing you can do. Instead, learn how to rock your pelvis forward and engage your lower back in extension. Rocking your pelvis is different from just arching your back. It’s more gentle and opens your hips as you engage your spine! Open hips + engaged lower back= less back pain!

This is my go-to warm up before I work on patients or do yoga. It really opens up the fascia connecting your shoulders , forearms , and wrists. If your wrists or shoulders get tight from repetitive movements like working at a desk or a computer, I recommend trying this. You can do it from a seated position as well! I will be breaking down each movement in my next videos. Let me know what you think!

If you connect with your breath, and subtly control it, this is a pathway to controlling your mind and calming it. It is a very useful and powerful practice! Pranayama has many physiological benefits as well, improving the health of your respiratory system and calming your nervous system.

Loving this new serum from root of skin! This is how I apply it everyday. In trikonasana, or triangle pose, remember to get there in stages. Try to keep the hips even first, then stack the shoulders, and finally lift your gaze. We want long open lines of energy to open the hips, improve your thoracic rotation , and strengthen (not a strained , tweaked ) neck. My first layer every morning is the face renewal serum. The first bottle I used I felt the difference, but now that I’m on my second bottle, people are noticing the difference! I have fewer fine lines, but the feedback that I’ve been getting is that my eyes look brighter and that I look younger . So guess my age ... actually never mind I’m not ready to play that game .
