Say hello to Rambo, our new scaly family member!
Rambo is a Bearded Dragon—calm, friendly, and full of personality. He loves soaking up the heat, munching on mealworms, and crunching on healthy veggies.

🦎 Fun Facts About Bearded Dragons
✨ They wave to show submission or friendliness!
☀️ They’re cold-blooded and love to bask under heat lamps to stay warm.
👅 They use their tongue to “taste” the air, just like snakes!
💤 They can sleep while standing up and even change color slightly depending on their mood or temperature.
🎉 Bearded dragons are social and often enjoy watching what’s going on around them!

🌿 Community Gardening Day 🌿

Gardening is more than just planting — it’s a way to relieve stress, get some fresh air, and move your body. And when we do it together, it becomes something even more special: connection.

Although we didn’t have much family turnout this time, we’re hopeful for the next — and we know it will be even better!

Whether it’s catching some waves, feeling the sand under your feet, or just soaking up the sunshine—there’s nothing like a beach day to lift your spirits.

Our Dog Walking Club took full advantage of the beautiful weather with a stroll along the shore, enjoying the breeze, the views, and all the friendly faces (both human and furry!). 🐶💛

🧠💜 In honor of Alzheimer’s Awareness, we’re proud to share this beautiful moment of connection—our residents enjoying a sunny picnic with our sister community, Silverado Tustin Hacienda Memory Care Community. Great way to end the month of June!

This day was more than just a lunch outdoors—it was a reminder that Alzheimer’s does not define our loved ones. Our role, along with the support of our great community, is to continue finding ways to normalize life, create moments of joy, and honor each person’s individuality.

At Silverado Care, purposeful social engagement is one of our guiding pillars. Whether it’s a simple interaction or a chance to be out in the community, we believe in giving our residents the space to connect, explore, and, contribute. And most importantly, to shine in what they love and do best.

At Silverado Newport Mesa, we love seeing traditions that bring joy and connection to our community.

Each year, Barbara and her daughter Pam work together on their beautiful Butterfly Garden—a heartfelt project they share with all of us. Their time spent together in the garden is a wonderful reminder of the power of purposeful visits and meaningful engagement.

Our residents recently took a special trip to welcome a new companion into our community—a bright and beautiful canary! After much excitement and a community-wide vote, we’re thrilled to introduce you to Mango! 🥭 ✨

Mango has already stolen hearts with his cheerful chirps, joyful hops, and sunny personality. He’s settling in and brings a delightful sense of calm and happiness to our days.

Today, we celebrate our real-life superheroes—our fathers and father figures! 💙
We honor the love, strength, and wisdom they’ve shared with us throughout the years.

To make this Father’s Day extra special, we hosted a Las Vegas-themed celebration filled with joy and creativity! 🎲✨ Our residents enjoyed getting their caricatures drawn for a fun keepsake, and the festive centerpieces were lovingly painted and assembled by our talented residents themselves.

Of course, no celebration is complete without a feast—BBQ ribs, chicken, and stuffed potatoes made it a meal to remember! 🍗🥔

Happy Father’s Day to the amazing men who shape our lives with heart and humor.
