I NEVER thought I’d go on HRT…And here I am, just over a year later 👀
So what’s actually changed?
✔️ Better sleep✔️ Way less anxiety✔️ More stable mood✔️ Libido is back✔️ Fewer aches + pains✔️ No more hot flashes
Let’s clear a few things up ⬇️
• I chose transdermal estrogen (gel/cream) because it has a lower risk profile (like blood clots) and it’s easier to adjust vs pellets.
• “Bioidentical” is mostly a marketing term, the hormones I take are structurally the SAME as what my body produces.
• I get my HRT through my nurse practitioner + it’s covered by insurance. If you’re getting pushback, there are great telehealth options (happy to share).
Here’s the truth…
I spent YEARS believing HRT was “bad” and that I’d just push through menopause naturally.
But 13 months ago, I made a different choice.I got educated. I read and studied up. Talked to experts and thought-leaders. I looked at the latest research. I asked better questions.
And I realized… a lot of what I believed was outdated.
And to be clear:I still prioritize strength training, nutrition, sleep, and stress management.
HRT isn’t magic… but for me, it’s been a game-changer.
