Life and death are ever-present so beautifully in all of nature. They are two sides of the same coin. The leaves that are drying out and returning to the soil from which they came, amidst a sea of green from the fresh rains. One season ending, another beginning. Grief and love are like this too. As we feel into and allow our grief, it’s tears falling from our eyes, we soften the heart which opens with compassion and allows love in. We only grieve because we have known love. In this way grief is a celebration, an ending of something that was once so beautiful. We can see it is still beautiful, just in a different way. Just as the leaves which change color and dry out are still beautiful, luminous even, against the backdrop of life.

We can learn to express and move through these powerful and beautiful emotions, as they live as energy in our bodies, just as they do in nature. Through somatic meditation, yoga and qigong, and somatic dance we create a beautiful balance of allowing in and releasing out. We will be exploring this in-depth through these embodied practices in our upcoming Movement Quest retreat in the Sierra's at Camp Earnest. Camp Earnest is beautiful retreat center nestled in the trees in Twain Harte, Ca.

We move, breath and dance April 26th-28th. More info and registration can be found here:

🕊️12:45 pm - We'll meet by the LOVE blocks in front of the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers, and then walk a short distance to a more private meadow.
🕊️1-2pm Peace Circle:
Chants, meditations and prayers will be guided in the Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, Yogic, and Earth based traditions.
💖Sound healing, breathwork, qigong, and meditation will be guided to help us get into our bodies in a grounded way.
❤️This circle is about coming together in recognition of our shared and sacred humanity. This will not be a space for debate or discussion. Our primary intention is a joining of hands and hearts, and while we welcome and encourage all emotions, we lovingly ask that all participants leave matters of personal opinion outside of the circle.

My next Integrative Yoga Therapy & Support Group for Trauma starts Wednesday, September 6th at .

Healing trauma through the body and witnessed in the support of a loving and spiritual community.

✨Trauma manifests in the body as stagnant energy affecting our thoughts, feelings, & behaviors. It is any event where we were unable to integrate the emotional experience of the event because it was too much to cope with in some way.

✨By bringing heightened awareness to the body we can begin the process of healing from the inside out.

✨In this 8 week therapeutic group you will learn embodied practices to support you as you work through and heal your traumatic wounds.

What you’ll learn:
•physical - what happens in the brain and nervous systems through trauma
•energetic - how to balance your energy from swinging between extremes of low/depression and high/anxiety
•mental/emotional- how to make friends with your thoughts and feelings, and have compassion towards yourself,
reframing your story from victim to thriver
•intuitive - learning to trust yourself again
•spiritual- feeling a deep connection and
gratitude for life

✨You’ll be guided through yoga, somatic practices, breathwork, sound healing, meditation and deep relaxation techniques to integrate and balance your mind, body, and spirit.

*This is a confidential yoga therapy and support group. No prior yoga experience is needed.

*space is limited to 10 participants to create an intimate container of trust and community.
