South Lane Dance Academy Let us read, and let us dance; these two amusements will never do any harm to the world. -Voltaire Mini classes are marked with an *.

We provide quality dance instruction to the youth of Cottage Grove. All mini classes are a shorter in length and the price reflects that. Office hours vary but are typically 3-5pm Monday - Friday

Jazz 2 3-4pm (ages 10+)
Intermediate Modern A 4-5pm(audition only)
Jazz 3 5-6pm(audition only)
Intermediate Modern B 6-7pm (audition only)

Monday
Jazz 1 3-4pm (ages 7-10)
Ballet level 3 4-5pm (12+)
Ballet level 4 / 5 5-6:30pm (audition only)
Beginning Modern 6:30-7:30pm (12+)

Tuesday
Itty Bitty Bop* 3-3:30pm (ages 3-4)
Hip Hop 1 3:30-4:15pm (ages 5-9)
Hip Hop 2 4:15-5:00pm (ages 10-12)
Hip Hop 3 5:00-5:45pm (13+)
Hip Hop 4 5:45-6:30pm (audition only)
Hip Hop 5 6:30-7:15pm (audition only)

Wednesday
Creative Movement* 1:30-2pm (ages 3-4)
Junior Jazz* 2-2:30pm (ages 5-6)
Pre Ballet 2:30-3:15pm (ages 5-6)
Flex - 3:15-4pm (level 3+ and required for pointe dancers)
Ballet Technique 4-5pm (level 3+ and required for pointe dancers)

This year SLDA sponsored a child from the tree of joy. I chose a little girl who wanted a doll as well as ballet clothes. When I saw the tag, it was a perfect fit!

We sent all sorts of things to encourage this little one in her budding love of Dance!.

Next year, Iā€™ll be sure to let people know ahead of time so you can bring items in. This year I already went shopping and turned it all in

We love our community and try to give back as often as we can. We hope our sweet treat of joy child enjoys her wonderful treasures.

And just like THAT our 6 Nutcracker shows are sold out. This is a really fun experience for our dancers and having a full house makes it that much better! Thanks to everyone for the support.

Thank you to Mr. Rush for spending his Sunday making an upgrade to our studio. Costumes now have a home other than my office floor šŸ˜

Super exciting! A few upgrades are coming to SLDA real soon thanks to an incredible donor who wants to partner with us!

First - New ballet barres are on their way.
Second - The old barres will be utilized as costume storage (they won't go to waste)
Third - New blinds in the studio to help keep the temperature more regulated in the space.

And so much more coming!!! Thank you to our most generous donors who have chosen to help us upgrade our space.
