South Lane Dance Academy Let us read, and let us dance; these two amusements will never do any harm to the world. -Voltaire Mini classes are marked with an *.

We provide quality dance instruction to the youth of Cottage Grove. All mini classes are a shorter in length and the price reflects that. Office hours vary but are typically 3-5pm Monday - Friday

"Miss Mandy, what does the studio need help with right now?"

The answer - bobby pins, black/ brown hair bands, hairspray, and unused combs. We are preparing our backstage kit for show day and are short of all of these items!

Did you know we give away over 20 hairbands each week for kiddos who need help prepping their hair for class? It's hard to keep up this time of year and our reserves are empty of hair colored hair bands. Thanks in advance!

Wow - what a great week we had taking photos of your beautiful dancers. All orders placed by the end of day Friday will be delivered on show day! Any orders after Friday will be placed as soon as possible after the show and HG media will reach out for pick up.

You’ve only got a few more days of “steamers in the lobby” before picture week!

For the next three days during our open hours, there are steamers available in the lobby to use.
Thursday 230 till 8 PM
Friday 230 until 6:30 PM
Saturday 10 AM to 11:15 AM. 

A reminder that there will be no steamers available next week during picture week. With so many kids / people in the space it’s unsafe to use hot steamers so they will be unavailable.

A message from a group of SLDA Studio Moms

Our very own Miss Kenady is getting married… to our studio photographer, Mr. Hunter! 💍

Both of them have helped create such a special space at SLDA for our kids - a place that is positive, encouraging, creative, and full of heart. Many of our dancers have grown up seeing them at the studio, and we know how much they care about this community.

Because it wouldn’t be possible to invite every dancer and family to their wedding, we wanted to create a moment where our studio family (past or present) can celebrate with them.

The studio moms are hosting a small well-wishes shower ”From first click to First dance" 📸 💃where dancers and families can stop by, say hello, and share their excitement for the happy couple before their big day in June.

We’ll have:
• Light snacks
• A few fun activities for the dancers
• A chance to leave notes or well wishes for the couple

It’s simply a sweet way for the kids to feel part of this joyful moment for two people who have given so much to our studio.

We hope you’ll stop by and help us celebrate Miss Kenady and Mr. Hunter as they begin this new chapter together! 💛
