My goal is to get this tattooed at some point. Most of you know my dad passed away in 2024. Very sudden and tragic.

A follower and friend gifted me a nest and a cocoon she found right after my dad passed away. I kept both, keeping the cocoon in a jar.

Months went by and even my husband said I think it’s dead. But I could see tiny changes in the cocoon everyday. So I kept hoping.

Then it was just there. This big, beautiful silk moth, chillin in the jar. I was in awe and couldn’t believe it! From death comes life and I got to see it all. And it was amazing.
