As the sun grows so does her belly –
From the summer solstice till the longest night, the Sun dies a little each day. For half the year sunlight diminishes. But, as the darkness fades, though it may still to noticed, the seed has been planted and grows as does the light. The belly of the mother, once dormant, now grows to bring forth life. Soon the young will emerge to bask in the warmth of the Sun.
The promise of longer days and the knowledge that soon we will be blessed with new life - It is now that we celebrate!
