It's been awhile since I posted anything with you my friends. Hunting season is almost over here. Its been really coold up here and I've been seeing lots of new mushrooms that only come out in extreme cold. I'll be researching these new specie and updating the group as I learn about them over the winter. Hope you are all doing well and staying warm. Stay fun guys

Sorry we haven't posted anything lately. It's Junior and mentor hunting season. It's a great time of year to take a young person out and pas on the traditions. It seems like I'm always saying the same things. Never eat a gilled Mushrooms. Never touch a mushroom unless you know what it is. We have been finding puffballs and testing them to see if they are Edible or poison. They are easy to identify and test. Cut in half and wait to see if it turns black, poison, or white edible. Research to see if there are any others in your area first. In this area there are three edible and one poison puffball.

There's so many things out there to eat.
Just to add a little something. Cattail roots are 70 percent starch. If you clean and peel the root then soak in a bowl of water mixing it up here and there. Then let it settle remove the roots poor the water off what's left in the bottom is pure starch. In order to make a primitive bread you have to start with the starch add the grain berries and flower and you have bread.
