We are deeply honored to be recognized by the Chamber of Commerce for 25 years of business. Therapy Place, Inc. was founded in 2000 by Deb Smith around her kitchen table; an intentional beginning rooted in connection, care, and community.

Last night, we accepted this award surrounded by community members, sharing a meal together. There is something beautifully ironic about that setting. The dinner table has always been a place of meaning; where we catch up, create memories, and slow down long enough to truly be present. At its core, it represents intentional time together, warmth, and connection.

As we reflect on the past 25 years, our mission remains the same and continues to grow stronger: to provide the highest quality mental health care in the Southwest Iowa and Metropolitan area. We are grateful for the trust, support, strong providers, and relationships that have made this journey possible. We look forward to what’s still to come.

This holiday season, we have identified several families in need of extra support.
In the spirit of giving, Therapy Place Inc. is proud to take these families under our wing through Joni’s Closet, our annual toy drive.

Joni’s Closet was created in memory of one of our beloved owners who passed away suddenly in 2024. She was an unwavering advocate for family reunification and dedicated her life to supporting children in the foster care system—both while in care and after aging out. We honor her legacy by continuing the work she cared so deeply about.

✨ Please consider donating a toy or two (New or gently used/like new items are welcome!) to any location and we will get them from those offices. Our physical closet is located at our Council Bluffs Location which is on the flyer.

Our child/adolescent nurse practitioner is accepting new patients ages 4–20.

Another nurse practitioner is accepting new patients ages 16–99+.

🧠 Therapy Services:
We have multiple providers with openings for therapy, offering specialized treatments including EMDR, TF-CBT, and more.

At our practice, we are committed to supporting every person who walks through our door. If you or a loved one are looking for compassionate, individualized care, we would love to help.
