Don’t feel like driving all the way to Council to get a flu vaccine this year, but want to receive your flu vaccine from ACHC’s Clinical Operational Manager and very TALENTED Medical Assistant, Melissa Roundtree? You’re in luck, because Wednesday, October 22nd, she will be administering flu vaccines at the Cambridge Midvale Goodrich Senior Center from 11 a.m. to 1 pm.

She will have flu vaccines available for anyone 19 years and up and will also be bringing the flu vaccine that is specifically designed for anyone aged 65 years or older! So, if you would like to get a flu vaccine this year, and you will be in the Cambridge area on that Wednesday, we hope to see you at the Cambridge Senior Center!

We also just want to say a big THANK YOU to the Cambridge Midvale Goodrich Senior Center for opening up your flu vaccination clinic to community members as well!

Just a reminder! Southwest District Health (SWDH) WIC Professionals will be coming to ACHC to do in-person WIC appointments on Wednesday, October 15th, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call the SWDH in Weiser at 208-549-2370 or the SWDH in Payette at 208-642-9321 to schedule your appointment.

Just a reminder that ACHC cannot help with scheduling or questions. So please make sure to call one of the SWDH phone numbers to schedule an appointment or if you have any questions regarding WIC services.

There are a limited number of in-person appointments available, and they will fill up extremely fast. If you are unable to get an in-person appointment, but need WIC services, SWDH WIC professionals also offer WIC appointments over the phone. To schedule, participants can call SWDH in at 208-549-2370, the SWDH in Payette at 208-642-9321 or SWDH in Caldwell at 208-455-5300 to schedule the appointment. Then a WIC staff member will call the participant at the scheduled time of the appointment. This is for all types of WIC appointments.

Let’s all give a HUGE round of applause 👏to Nurse Susan Goudie-Adams for being awarded the 2025 Idaho Community Health Center Association’s Outreach and Enrollment Patient Impact Award! 🏆This award recognizes an individual whose outreach and enrollment efforts have made a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of patients. She was selected for this award, because every day she demonstrates a strong commitment to improving access to care, removing barriers, and supporting individuals with compassion, consistency, and care. Everyone who has met Nurse Susan knows that she will do everything in her power to ensure that the patients she takes care of have access to the care and resources that they need. Every day she comes to work with so much determination to help all the people in this wonderful community, and that is truly a special quality. We are so thankful to have someone with so much knowledge, experience, compassion, and kindness in our ACHC Family. We are so happy she has been recognized for all of her hard work, and we could not be more honored to have her on our team. We wouldn't know what we would do without you. Employers, local business owners or principals! Did you know you can call ACHC and schedule to have a flu vaccination clinic right there at your own facility? Our medical team loves to have the opportunity to get out of the clinic and go out into the community to administer flu vaccines to those who would like to get vaccinated.

If you would like to schedule a Flu Vaccination Clinic at your place a business, community center, nursing home, or school, all you need to do is call 208-253-4242 and ask to speak to Melissa Roundtree. It's almost time! Next Saturday is the Adams County Health Action Team (ACHAT)'s first Courage to Connect community walk! Connect with your neighbors, learn about local organizations and their resources supporting the health of Adams County, and enjoy the fresh air. It is FREE to participate in this walk! Participants are welcome to travel the 1 mile or 5k out and back distances.

Individuals who pre-register will receive a resource bag at the event! So we HIGHLY recommend registering for this event! 😁

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we wanted to remind you that the Saint Alphonsus 3D Mobile Mammography Bus will be returning to ACHC for their FINAL VISIT OF THE YEAR on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30th, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

If it is time for you to get a mammogram, please call 208-367-8787 to make an appointment with this amazing team during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Remember, early detection can save lives!

We recommend verifying that Saint Alphonsus is in network for your insurance prior to scheduling an appointment.

DID YOU KNOW? If a person doesn’t have insurance or needs help paying for a mammogram, there is a Saint Alphonsus Financial Assistance form that can be filled out. If approved, it could cover the entire cost of the scan and the radiologist to read it. Additionally, if you qualified for financial assistance and needed additional scans for the radiologist, it would cover that as well. If you would like to know if you qualify for this Saint Alphonsus Financial Assistance before scheduling an appointment on their 3D Mobile Mammography bus, ACHC does have the form at our front desk. Just stop by and fill it out, and one of our wonderful ladies will fax the form to Saint Alphonsus for you. You will then be contacted by their team to find out if you qualify for the assistance.

October is finally here! Which means flu vaccines are now being administered by ACHC’s outstanding medical team. We have flu vaccines available for anyone 6 months of age or older!

If you choose to get a flu vaccine this year, no need to schedule an appointment! You can just walk into our clinic and request to have a flu vaccine administered by one of our MARVELOUS medical team members!

Have you signed up for ACHC’s online patient portal yet? Once you have signed up for an account, you will have 24/7 access to several convenient online services!

It is fast and easy to sign up! Just ask one of our team members, either in-person or by calling 208-253-4242, to send you an invitation to ACHC’s Patient portal. Then, just keep an eye on your email inbox for a link to enroll. After clicking the link, there will be step-by-step directions showing you how to register for our patient portal. You must speak with an ACHC team member either in-person or on the phone to request an activation link so that they can verify your email address in your chart is correct.

Just a reminder, if you have already signed up for our patient portal, you can access it clicking on the “Patient Portal Login” button on the home page of our website at achcid.org.

To make it even more convenient for you to access our Patient Portal once you have registered for one, the next time you are in our facility, just ask one of our amazing receptionists for the Patient Portal Card that can be kept in your wallet or purse. It has a QR code that you can scan that takes you directly to the patient portal login page or it reminds you that you can also click on the Patient Portal Button located on the home page of our website at achcid.org 💙🤍💙🤍
