📣Adams County Health Center is seeking a professional and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality dental care to our community. Working under the direct supervision of the Dental Director or dentist on duty, you will provide essential support in the delivery of patient care, handling everything from instrument sterilization and X-rays to patient education and chairside assistance. The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or GED and possesses excellent interpersonal skills, a pleasant telephone manner, and the ability to stay organized in a busy clinical environment. While graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting school or two years of clinical experience is preferred, it is not required—we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates a strong commitment to preventive dental care. Summer is here! Our beautiful Idaho offers an endless amount of outdoor recreation activities to enjoy the beauty and fun that we treasure. When packing for your favorite hobby, don’t forget the sunscreen! Every year, more than 5 million people are diagnosed with skin cancer in the U.S. alone, making it the most common cancer in the nation. Although mostly treatable, skin cancer can be extremely painful and can leave you with scars. A quick application of sunscreen, wearing a wide-brimmed hat or even UV protection clothing can save you from the pain and suffering later. 🌞💙🤍

May is Healthy Vision Month! Just like you clean your windows, change out your wipers and replace lightbulbs for clear visibility, maintaining your vision is important. By getting your annual eye exam, you can detect and help prevent common eye diseases, ensuring your prescription is accurate and checking for possible underlying health conditions.
Did you know underlying conditions linked to autoimmune diseases, infections or trauma can be detected through your eyes? Iritis, which is inflammation of the iris, can be detected through severe eye pain, redness & light sensitivity. Although most common in adults, children as young as 5 can be diagnosed.
Our ACHC Optometry team is here for all of your vision needs, call today to schedule an appointment at 208-253-4242.💙🤍💙🤍

A huge thank you to our partners at Breakthrough T1D and Enable Biosciences for helping us bring this valuable resource to our community!💙🤍
