Too many people who don’t know us, who can’t relate to us, are trying to decide our future. Look who’s running and ask yourself: who will really fight for you, your children, and your community?
President Barack Obama once said, “One of the toughest challenges of our time is people not knowing when to give up power.” That challenge is alive in our district today.
We have all received the harvest of our ancestors but the farm is drying. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reminded us, “The time is always right to do what is right.” That time is now.
Some will say if you can’t fundraise you can’t run. We are here to prove them wrong. We will show that people can change the course of history when they come together. This is our fight for freedom, equality, and dignity in our time, the movement of today.
This is bigger than politics. This is about whether grassroots people, people like us, can stand up to money and power that want to buy our seat. This is about saving a future brother and sister. This is about honoring those who marched, who fought, who bled so we could have a voice.
We have one day left before the September deadline. We need this post shared everywhere. We need you to bring a friend, bring a neighbor, bring a brother or sister with you. Let’s show the world that grassroots is alive and that we are not for sale.
I’m not too proud to beg. We need you. With you, we will never leave ya. If you can’t give, share. But help, I know you can do that. This is a plea for change and a friend. Stand with Yumeka. Stand with us. Donate today!
