It has come to my attention that when contacting the Suffolk office it has been difficult to convey what you need. At this time I do not have clinic time in Suffolk only in Newport News. If you are trying to see me you need to come to the Newport News location and that number is 757.367.8027. For hearing aid issues schedule a hearing aid check only. In Suffolk Megan can see you but unfortunately due to staffing shortages she is booking out to April. My Courtland Hearing phone number is going away the end of February. I hope this helps you find the help you need. I know how hard it can be to get what you need in a timely manner. I'll do the best I can!!

Wax guards for Starkey or Signia hearing aids - refer to the paperwork you were given at fitting if possible, on the shipping page it will tell you the name of the wax guards you need for your hearing aids. Simply go to Amazon, search for wax guard, the brand of your hearing aid -Signia or Starkey, Unitron, Phonak and type in the name of the wax guard from your shipping paperwork. Please text or call and I can help you with this as I have your paperwork also.

Wax guards! If you use Unitron or phonak hearing aids (same manufacturer) go to the Amazon website and search wax guard, cerustops (if you use the stick type) or ceru shield (if you use the round black disc type) wax guards compatible with Phonak, Unitron, sonova and choose the cerushield or ceru stop type. Easy peasy!

Hearing aid supplies. I recommend Amazon. if you are ordering batteries search: zinc oxide hearing aid batteries and the size you need - usually 312 Brown but could also be 13 orange or 10 yellow or 675 blue. I like the Power One brand the best. Keep them in a ziplock back in a dry place at home to extend their storage life. Don't remove the sticker from the back until you are ready to use them and then let them breathe for 4 minutes before inserting into the hearing aid.

Several people have asked about the Hearing Life office in Franklin. The problem with that office is that they do not carry the same brand of hearing aids I do in Courtland. They do not have supplies for these hearing aids or the capability of programming them.

I have an announcement. It is with a sad heart that I am closing Courtland Hearing. I am referring all of my friends to TPMG ENT in 2 locations: 1030 Champions Way, Suffolk - in the Harbourview area, and 806 Omni Blvd Suite 113 Newport News. Please call 757. 673.6118 and let them know you are a Courtland Hearing patient and which office you prefer. If you are in need of supplies like wax guards and batteries - you can purchase these on Amazon, you need to put in the manufacturer of your hearing aid - either Phonak, Unitron or Signia. Phonak and Unitron use the same supplies but Signia does not! Batteries: on Amazon search zinc oxide hearing aid batteries and the size. The best brands are Power One, Rayovac and Energizer. In a typical day I see 2% balance or dizzy appointments, 50% for hearing loss and 48% tinnitus! Most people with tinnitus have hearing loss. Of the 3, which would you think would be most debilitating?
