I have been practicing clinical social work in RI for over 20 years. Issues that I regularly work with include depression, anxiety, divorce and family of origin issues. I value the therapeutic relationship and feel it is necessary to deve

lop a healthy relationship with a therapist in order to do the work necessary to resolve issues. I believe that it is important to look at our history to discover where some of our core beliefs come from and whether they are having an impact on our current life. If so and it is a negative impact, it is important to work toward changing those negative beliefs and thought patterns into more healthy ones.

PSA: For anyone who takes meds for ADHD, you know that it has been very difficult to get your medication, due to shortages. Yesterday Blue Cross Blue Shield of RI announced that will now be covering some name brand stimulants. They will cost more, but at least people can get them. As an example, the copay for a generic med was $25. A few weeks ago the cost for a one month supply of the name brand was $400. After yesterday's announcement some brand names are now in their formulary and can be bought for a more reasonable price. It will likely be more than your generic, but for some people it is worth it.
