✨A little recap of how 2026 is going thus far for all of us at Alpine!✨

In ❄️January❄️ we wished a very happy retirement to our DON, Evelyn, for her 30+ years of service. The staff celebrated and reminisced about her accomplishments, knowledge, kindness, and strength at her retirement party while enjoying delicious catering by Lola's Kitchen LLC.

In ❤️February❤️ the residents loved having pet therapy with Sawdust and attended a Valentine’s Day party where they sipped on sparkling cider and made their own chocolate-covered strawberries and pretzels.

We are thoroughly looking forward to St. Patrick’s Day and St. Joseph’s Day this week—so stayed tuned!🥰💚

Hi all, our residents and staff continue to be safe and taken care of. We are extending our request to please refrain from visiting today, Thursday 2/26/26. Due to the slush that has formed and accumulated, we have equipment and service members coming in to plow and salt/sand our parking lots again today. This is imperative for safety reasons and the need for delivery vehicles to be able to drop off food, medical supplies, etc. There will be portions of the day that parking will be not allowed at all due to staff needing to move their cars around for thorough plowing. By later this evening, our parking lots should be clear and ready for visitors. We thoroughly appreciate your cooperation and understanding during these last few days. If you would like to call or schedule a video call with your loved one, please call the Alpine main number (401-397-5001) and ask for Holly in Activities. Our administrator would also like to extend a huge thank you to Alysia M. at the RI Department of Health Emergency Response Team for assisting us during this blizzard and connecting us with resources that allowed for RI Energy to be on site and get our facility off generator power ASAP. It truly takes a village, and we are truly grateful for every person doing their part to ensure the safety and well being of our entire community here at Alpine. Thank you! Holly (Activities Director)

Hello all, please know our residents and staff are safe and being taken care of. We are fully staffed and thensome to ensure that everyone’s needs are met. Our phones are back online and fully operational. Per administration, we ask for visitors to please refrain from visiting today (Wednesday 2/25/26). Our administrator and other professionals and service members are working to plow and clear our parking lots and get all walking areas sanded and salted to ensure everyone’s safety. This will be much easier if the number of cars on the property are limited to staff only. So please, refrain from visiting today. By tomorrow, we should be back to normal with no restrictions. We will update you with any changes. If you want to call or schedule a video call with your loved one, call Alpine’s main number (401-397-5001) and ask for Holly in Activities. If you want to aid in the care of your loved one and staff, feel free to drop off food or goodies to keep everyone’s spirits up. We thank you for your cooperation and know we are doing everything to ensure the safety and well being of our entire community. -Holly (Activities Director)

Thank you to all our brave and caring staff who have stayed overnights and continue to care for our residents throughout the storm! Due to the storm conditions the telephone lines in our area have been out for most of the storm and continue to be as there is a broken pole on harkney hill rd. Alpine however has maintained full operational status through he use of our whole facility generator systems. If nursing needs to reach out to any of our residents families we will be calling from cell phones. Everyone is currently safe and sound. Our administrator kept weaver hill plowed to harkney over the storm for emergency access and staff access. Our lot is plowed and clear as crews have remained on site since before the storm and still currently, please be mindful there will be extensive machines working to move snow over the next few days as we recieved almost 3ft of snow here and the guys will need room to work. We will update the page with any updates at least daily until the telephones are back online. We love our Alpine family and are so proud to be able to provide care to so many wonderful people. Looking forward to seeing everyone once the roads are plowed and conditions are safe. Please wear boots and take extra caution as any plowed surfaces will freeze overnight and into tomorrow day with the temperatures. -Kyle Gauvin, lnha
