This weekend was a big one for Flex PT. Mark and David joined Dustin to present on Thrower’s Care at the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Foundation on Friday. It was an honor to be invited to speak alongside some of the top leaders in sports medicine, including Dr. James Andrews. Tough as nails. That's a saying you hear a lot, but it doesn't begin to describe you. There are plenty of nails, but you are more like the hammer that drives every nail to do their job for the benefit of everyone, striking over and over until the deed is done. Teams need leaders like you who will show up everyday and play their part, no matter the role. We know without a doubt that you are overly dependable, whether you woke up that day feeling like dancing or crying. You don't find reasons to take breaks because you're always wanting to be better. It's clear that you respect the game, so the world has no choice but to respect yours. Hard work has definitely wrapped itself around your DNA.

You've shown us a relentless attitude to recovery that we don't always have time to let you know we appreciate, so this is it. Thank you for your time with us, and for the respect you've had for this clinic every time you walked through the doors. One of the greatest!

Reese has truly been a joy to work with throughout her high school dance career. Over the years, she rehabbed multiple injuries and faced each challenge with resilience, consistency, and grace. Despite working through pain, Reese never missed an appointment and always showed up smiling, positive, and ready to work hard. Her dedication and work ethic were evident in everything she did. Harlan, your career epitomizes wisdom gained through experience. If there are levels to the journey, each level for you has been one of learning and growth—not just in football, but in life, soul, and heart.

We first got to know Maddie during her high school internship. From the very beginning, her curiosity, energy, and kindness stood out. Since then, we’ve had the privilege of watching her grow into an exceptional young woman and collegiate beach volleyball athlete.

Maddie turned what could have been a setback—her injury—into a powerful opportunity for growth and self-discovery. She showed incredible perseverance and maturity, using that experience to fuel her passion for helping others through physical therapy.

Now, as Maddie wraps up her college volleyball career and prepares to begin her journey as a physical therapy student, we couldn’t be more proud. Her caring heart, strong work ethic, and genuine compassion will make her an outstanding addition to the profession.

Maicee, your journey is one of resilience, dedication, and heart. Throughout your career you faced several injuries that could have sidelined most athletes—but not you. Instead of letting setbacks define you, you used every challenge as fuel to come back stronger.

During rehab you stayed focused and determined, earning the admiration of everyone here. Your work ethic and positive attitude made you the “spirit animal” of the clinic—someone who could lift spirits just by walking into the room.

On the field you led with quiet confidence and fearless determination. You've never needed to say much to get a point across; your actions speak much louder than words. Your teammates looked up to you not just for talent, but for toughness, selflessness, and drive to always be available.

Behind a tough exterior is a kind, respectful young woman who treats everyone with genuine care. You embody the “work hard” mentality in everything and you continue to set an example for others to follow. Maicee, you are one of a kind—deeply appreciated both on and off the field by family, teammates, and everyone lucky enough to know you.
