Abby is the newest team member at our📍Lakeland Hills clinic (in Auburn) bringing with her a strong massage skillset and a desire to help others.

"I love working as a massage therapist because I am able to grow and learn with my clients. I love showing people little tips and tricks as well as exploring all the ways we can learn to practice self-care for ourselves. I find that self-care knowledge is a prominent issue in the working class today. People who were not taught healthy ways to manage stress and/or have continued to deal with physical issues in their bodies need some type of encouragement to feel better about themselves. I believe I can help people see the benefit of making a plan and performing a physical action to encourage positive change through specialized therapeutic massage. I enjoy showing others simple ways to implement self-help and self-care into their lives. For me, massage therapy is a never-ending puzzle that I love to decipher and have a passion for expanding on!"

One thing she wishes more people understood about massage therapy is how necessary physical stress relief and release is.

"I wish more people understood how necessary physical stress relief and release is. How it opens up more of an ability to make connections between physical stress/ailments that are held in the muscles and the connection between them and the mind. Western society has not made it easy to normalize keeping up with our bodies and the connection between the body and mind is so important to understand. I practice and teach a therapy that is built to focus on aligning both, to create full positive functionality for everyone!"

And when she's getting away closer to home, chances are you'll find her out in nature. "I'd say my favorite place to get away nearby would have to be anywhere near the mountains and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I've recently been really enjoying getting away to do some hiking and exploring around the Snoqualmie Mountain Pass."
