A graduate of LSU School of Medicine (2019) and Children’s Hospital New Orleans residency (2022), Dr. Clinkingbeard joined St. Tammany Pediatrics in 2025 and has been making a colorful impact ever since — whether it’s through his silly socks or spontaneous renditions of “Let It Go” in the clinic. 🧦🎶

The 37th annual Monster Mash is just 5 weeks away. The date is Saturday, October 18th from 10a-2p. We have opened our volunteer registration on sign-up genius for those of you who would like to come out and help volunteer to make the day a success.

This is a great opportunity for those students that need service hours, organizations that give their employees perks for volunteering and for those that just want to come out and spend the day in Bogue Falaya Park with the many diverse vendors, delicious food, great music and fun and games for all ages.

And just like that the end of summer has come and September is upon us! We have such a jammed packed fall planned at the Parenting Center!

Our annual Monster Mash event will take place on Saturday, October 18th in Bogue Falaya Park in downtown Covington which is fun for the whole family! It is in it's 37th year and looks to be a fun-filled day with food trucks, Chick fil A, animals to pet and hold, crafts to make, cookies to decorate (and eat) and games and prizes at every vendor booth and the ever popular Trick or Treat village. So make sure to put this one on your calendar and come dressed up as your favorite characters and spend the day walking in the picturesque downtown Covington park by the river! Tickets will go on sale soon...so be on the lookout!

Also happening at the Parenting Center in September -

-Ballet is back for those youngsters ages 3-5 years on Thursdays

-We are starting a Kinder-Spanish class to take place on two Fridays
a month. Come join us as we learn basic Spanish with a puppet
and Ms. Nancy Gremillion who has been teaching for over 30 yrs

-We've made some updates to our interactive classes (Cuddle
Buddies, Toddling Time and Play and Learn) by adding some new
songs, and a Tiny Topics section. So come sing along and learn
some new songs or old songs that you sang when you grew up!

-The Library lady will be here to read to us and possibly sing on
September 15 at 10:30am

-We are taking our annual field trip to Ms. Heather's Pumpkin Patch
on Friday, September 26th to get our free pumpkin and enjoy the
the rides, maze and so much more

And everyday is open play at the Parenting Center. From 9a-1p, rain or shine, we are open for those with children ages 0-5 years. We have some new play equipment, toys and mats for you and your children to enjoy. So bring a friend and come spend some quality time with each other and your children at the Parenting Center...stay an hour or stay all day. See you soon!

Ballet starts back at the Parenting Center on Thursday, August 21st. We currently have two classes available for registration from either 9:15-10a or 10-10:45a with 8 spots in each class. Our instructor, Christina Connell, Owner of the Conservatory of Ballet Aviv is once more back with us, and we are so excited to be able to offer this opportunity for your girls/boys ages 3-5 years. This is a great class for beginners to see if they actually want to learn the discipline of dance. There is no required dress code and no recital fees.

You can register for either class at www.sttammany.health (at the bottom of the page in the floating tiles). The class fees are $10/class and includes the monthly membership fee of $15 to the Parenting Center which allows you access to come and play on non-ballet days. If you have more than one child that you would like to register, please contact us for the second child so that we can waive the Parenting Center membership fee.
