The St. Tammany Parish Hospital emergency department is a non-bedded unit, providing emergency care Tammany Hospital in the ASSERT telestroke network. St.

Tammany Parish Hospital emergency department is a non-bedded unit, providing emergency care for all patients without discrimination. STPH is Covington's accredited chest pain center and is the only west St. With good teamwork, STPH ER strives to treat every patient according to each individual’s emergency need in a timely manner. All patients requesting examination and/or treatment will receive an appropriate medical screening exam by a physician to determine if an emergency medical condition exists. Tammany Parish Hospital adjusts its system in the Emergency Department to consistently reduce wait times. In fact, the ER routinely benchmarks below the national average. Whether your visit to the ER is for a minor incident or a major infarction, our skilled staff is ready to care for you.

🦃 St. Tammany Health System Thanksgiving Holiday Hours – Nov. 27, 2025 🦃

As we prepare for Thanksgiving this Thursday, we want to share our holiday hours to help you plan your care:

🏥 Emergency Services
All STHS emergency departments – including St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington and our standalone Emergency Department in Mandeville – remain open 24/7, as always. We’re here for you around the clock.

👨‍⚕️ Express Care & Primary Care Clinics
Express Care in Covington (80 Gardenia Dr.): Open 4–8 PM
Express Care Kids in Mandeville (3663 U.S. 190): Open 4–8 PM
All other STHS primary care clinics: Closed for Thanksgiving

🚗 Shuttle & Valet Services
All valet services and shuttle service to Parking Lot 10 (across South Tyler Street from the hospital) will be suspended Thursday.
Shuttle service to Parking Lot 7 (across West 8th Avenue from the hospital) will operate normal business hours.

🏥 Specialty & Outpatient Clinics
Closed for Thanksgiving

💊 Pharmacies
STHS Pharmacy at Braswell’s: Closed for Thanksgiving

💼 Business Offices
Closed for Thanksgiving

All clinics, pharmacies and offices will resume normal business hours on Friday, Nov. 28.
