Breast screenings and other tests and treatments are delivered in a relaxing, spa-like setting infused with soothing artistic features to promote a sense of well-being for patients and staff alike. Empowering women through education and quality care sets the Women's Pavilion apart from other facilities. The in-house Radiologists utilize a computer-aided detection system to digitally analyze mammography films and bilateral, full-breast ultrasounds to treat the whole patient, not just a focused area of tissue. Tammany Parish Hospital Women's Pavilion include:

Digital Mammography
Diagnostic Breast Mammography
Diagnostic Breast Ultrasound
Galactography
Breast MRI Biopsy
Stereotactic Biopsy
Ultrasound-guided Biopsy
Ultrasound-guided Aspiration
Preoperative Image-guided Needle Localization
Bone-density Scans

The St. Tammany Parish Hospital Women's Pavilion has recognized the need in our community to focus on women's health and is offering MRI breast imaging and breast biopsies. This will enable the Radiologists to review extensive imaging of the breast for early detection. For more information concerning breast MRI imaging or any other services offered at the Women's Pavilion, please call (985) 773-1500.

🕊️ Honoring a Legacy of Service

Last week, STHS leaders gathered with the family of James L. Core at our St. Tammany Physicians Network clinic in Folsom to unveil a memorial plaque honoring his decades of service.

Mr. Core, who passed away in October, served on our Board of Commissioners for 41 years, leaving behind a legacy of dedication to both healthcare and his beloved Village of Folsom.

A Vietnam veteran, former sheriff’s deputy, and retired businessman, Mr. Core embodied a life of public service and commitment to community.

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

Every year, over 300,000 women worldwide are diagnosed with ovarian cancer — yet it's often called the "silent killer" because symptoms can be subtle and easy to overlook.

🩺 Know the signs:
Bloating
Pelvic or abdominal pain
Trouble eating or feeling full quickly
Urinary urgency or frequency

Early detection saves lives — which is why awareness is critical.

💬 Talk about it.
