👁 What Is Iritis?
Also known as anterior uveitis, iritis is inflammation of the iris and ciliary body most common between ages 20 and 50.

Common symptoms include:
🔴 Red eye
💡 Light sensitivity
👁️‍🗨️ Blurred or decreased vision
⚡ Eye pain

There are many causes, including:
☣️ Viral, fungal, or bacterial infections
🧬 Autoimmune conditions
❓ Sometimes, the cause is unknown

🧴 Treatment usually involves steroid eye drops to calm inflammation. Left untreated, it may lead to glaucoma or early cataracts.

🚨 Don’t ignore a red or painful eye!
