🚐✨ Fighting Lung Cancer, One Mile at a Time

In its ongoing mission to improve population health in South Louisiana, STHS unveiled its newest mobile screening unit on July 10 — the Breathe Well ConneCTion, a first-of-its-kind lung cancer screening vehicle in our region. 💨💙

This innovative unit joins the beloved Be Well Bus (mobile mammography), extending STHS’s reach even further by delivering potentially life-saving cancer screenings directly to our communities — at festivals, health fairs and local events across the parish.

🎉 We’ve officially opened our newest St. Tammany Physicians Network primary care clinic at Money Hill!

📍 Located just outside the Money Hill subdivision in the Bush/Waldheim area, this is our 6th clinic under the St. Tammany Physicians Network banner.

🏥 The 5,034-sq-ft facility at 79636 LA-21 is open Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with same-day appointments available.

👏 Thanks to all the community members and local leaders who joined us for the ribbon-cutting on June 24!

💡 Did you know? When St. Tammany Health System was founded in 1954 to serve residents of Western St. Tammany Parish, it had 17 community physicians on staff and 15 nurses.

Seventy years later, more than 600 physicians are credentialed to practice at the hospital alongside the health system’s nearly 3,100 employees, placing STHS among the parish’s largest employers.

💡 Did you know? St. Tammany Parish Hospital was founded in 1954 to serve West St. Tammany Parish as part of the then-new St. Tammany Parish Hospital Service District No. 1.

Seventy years later, it still serves the same community-based mission, although in December 2019 it was renamed St. Tammany Health System to reflect its robust growth beyond the hospital walls and into the community.
