Meet the Villagers!

Colton, aka Swanny, is quite possibly one of the funniest humans on the planet. He is extremely dedicated to his tasks at MV and takes great pride in his work. Colton loves being a Villager and we love him being with us each day!

Meet the Villagers!

Carrie is back!! Carrie attended our pilot program two year ago, and everyone is so excited that she is back with MV! This lady loves being in the Cafe and working with people. She has such a heart for the people around her. We are pumped to have her back this year!!

Day 1 of prepping CCS lunches in the books, art class, picking up a new fridge and chairs for our building, a Coal Creek Country Store LLC store visit, Cafe buzzing all day....this group was awesome and active all day!

We are so excited to partner with Covington Christian School to prepare lunch for their students this year! Our Villagers are going to daily take in any orders from those that desire MV for their child, prepare the lunches daily, and deliver the meals to the school each day. We are excited for the partnership with CCS and look forward to an awesome year of bringing a great product for their students!

Another action packed day for our crew! Workout session at the gym, Cafe crew for our awesome customers, and help at the Covington Community Garden ! Our Villagers picked almost 100 pounds of tomatoes today (among other things!) for the community to access.

This group is driven to make our area of the world a better place!!

We have been truly blessed by the support from you all this last year! Whether you are a monthly donor, yearly giver, Cafe visitor, or came to one of our dinners/events, we want you to know that you have lifted us up and we appreciate you!

Another giving option is the Villager's tuition accounts. Being a non-governmental agency, we operate similarly to a Christian school with tuition. Our Villagers will be receiving a stipend towards their tuition each month for their contributions in the Cafe. The overall combined tuition from all of the Villagers is roughly a fifth of the total operating cost of Marilyn's Village.

We will be introducing the Villagers on here over the next couple of days. If you feel led, you can give towards the MV Scholarship Fund or towards someone's direct tuition. Donations can be made in our Cafe or online at marilynsvillage.org. Please contact us with any questions!

We are excited to start another year and we are crazy excited to see where the Lord leads this year!

It's been a great and busy first week back at the Village! Among the Cafe, gym, new volunteers, and daily activities, our Villagers have loved it all!

Today, Ms. Marsha came in and taught the Villagers money skills and some auction etiquette. There are so many great things happening from so many amazing people here each day!

What a beautiful day to join the Villagers for lunch! Open from 11-2pm at 417 Liberty Street in Covington!

Toasted Italians, Roasted Turkey, Virginia Ham, and Campfire Chicken are on the sandwich menu.

We'll also have our 1/4lb beef hot dogs, chili cheese dogs, pretzel sticks with cheese, and nachos.

We are starting our official second year today! The Villagers came in so excited to see each other. We started out in the gym with Jerry and came back to work on our Cafe skills. The Cafe will officially open on Wednesday from 11-2pm!!

Also, take a look at these new wheels for our Villagers! A very gracious family sold this to us for a third off of their asking price! It seats nine total, has four captain's chairs, and a bench seat in the back. We are so thankful for this vehicle! Thank you to all of our donors who made this possible!

It's almost taco time with Gordo's Taco Truck! 5-7pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Covington Indiana in Covington! We will be set up in the fellowship hall. Come down, visit with Kelly, and get some tacos.

Reminder - tomorrow (Tuesday) night at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Covington Indiana from 5-7pm there will be Gordo's Taco Truck serving tacos, all for free will donations! Proceeds will go to us at Marilyn's Village! If you have the night open, bring the family down for a great meal that will benefit some awesome Villagers!

**St. Joseph Catholic Church is across the street from Casey's in Covington. The fellowship hall is near the corner of 4th and Pearl St.**
