Walk to End Alzheimer's - One week away for the Northshore Walk!

Alzheimer’s disease is devastating—and deeply personal for many of us. Kim Melvin, event chair, said my Aunt Jeanne and my best friend’s mom both suffered from this heartbreaking disease. We walk to honor their memory, and to support the fight for a cure.

Please consider joining us for the Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s on September 27. Whether you walk with us or choose to donate, every step and every dollar brings us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s.

AFib can happen to anyone. It’s a heart rhythm problem that may or may not be noticeable as a racing, pounding, or fluttering sensation. Additional common symptoms may include fatigue, shortness of breath, or lightheadedness, or no noticeable symptoms at all. The best way to know is to get regular checkups. It’s important to listen to your heart and if you think you may have AFib, talk with your health care professional and find out what you can do to lower your risk for stroke.

Our cardiologists are here to listen and discuss your risks and treatment. To schedule an appointment, call 985-867-2100 or visit lakeview-hospital.com/heartcare today.
