Today’s Thankful Thursday is appreciation for Madeleine. If you’ve been in our Baton Rouge office you know she has been there to greet you with a smile and cheer. We are so thankful for what she has done to make our patients feel welcome and work with us to help achieve their best possible outcomes. She started with us doing job shadowing and then she worked with our office doing administrative tasks and assisting Brianna with patients in our Baton Rouge clinic. We wish her all the best as she embarks on her next journey at The University of Washington for Orthotics and Prosthetics school! She will be missed but we are so excited to see what she accomplishes next!

After becoming a transfemoral amputee more than 15 years ago Glenn has dealt with complications of traditional prosthetic socket use. He underwent evaluation and eventual surgery with Dr. Jason Stoneback at The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO for an osseointegration implant. He spent 6 weeks recovering and has begun therapy and training for a whole new style of prosthetic use. Since then he has returned home and has been working on increasing his confidence and activity level. His favorite thing about having the procedure done is the ease of getting the prosthetic leg on in the morning. It is much easier for him to move about and more comfortable for his daily activities.
