As some of you may already be aware, my final day at Dr. White's office will be February 20. I am pleased to share that I have accepted a position at Louisiana Heart and Vascular as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. I will persist in prioritizing health and wellness while offering same-day sick visits. Elizabeth Sims will maintain her practice at the same location, although the clinic will be renamed Highland Park Family Practice. I appreciate the opportunity to have provided care to many of you over the past 10 years and hope to reconnect with you in the future.

As the cold weather approaches we have made the decision to close the office on Tuesday January 21. We will make a decision about our ability to open and offer in person appointments for Wednesday but for now all appointments will be telemedicine only. Please utilize your mychart portal to contact providers and if you are experiencing a medical emergency call 911. Be safe and stay warm! We can’t wait to see all of your snow day pictures!!

Happy Halloween! The staff surprised us by dressing up like each one of the providers today and did pretty accurate impressions of each of us. Lindsey dressed up as Elizabeth Sims, Val dressed as Dr White and Tracey dressed as Cassie Guste. Nothing spookier than seeing yourself cloned!!!!

Our office is undergoing some changes to our current business model. Dr White will be joining MDVIP starting January 31, 2025 with an annual membership fee. This new venture will allow her to provide a more personal approach to your care with advanced screenings and diagnostic tests. We currently have a representative in office that is here to answer any questions. He is happy to set up a time to speak to you directly and you can also go the website at www.mdvip.com/ElizabethWhiteMD

For the patients that decide MDVIP is not something they are currently interested in then you will still be able to see either of our Nurse Practitioners Elizabeth Sims or Cassie Guste at our current location with no membership fee. Please note we will no longer have an in house physician available to see patients and we will be changing our practice name soon!

While these changes may be upsetting to some and not fit every patient's needs, we understand and can refer you to other practices in the area if you so choose but we truly hope you decide to stay with us.

We appreciate all of our patients that have supported us throughout the years and we look forward to meeting your healthcare needs.
