Back to the grind!

Just got an awesome update from one of our former patients, Alexis!We worked on his torn rotator cuff so he could avoid surgery and he says the shoulder is doing great. He’s back to riding the waves and racing again without pain.

Knee giving out while walking or on stairs? getting in or out of the boat? your vehicle? That's not normal. Whether painful or not, it means something is wrong.

It can often be corrected and it doesn't necessarily mean surgery. I frequently have patients come in with long term knee pain or buckling and can identify problems we can usually address for quick improvement and they are amazed.

Neck pain isn't always caused by doing stupid things!

Most neck pain isn’t caused by one ‘bad move’—it builds quietly over time. Almost every week, I see someone who says: ‘My neck just started hurting out of nowhere. It's common for the stresses that cause neck pain to build quietly over time and eventually reach a point that pain is inevitable.

It's frequently sitting at a desk all day or prolonged phone use that catches up with you. Just doing some stretches here and there when its tight won't make it go away.

Direct Access allows physical therapists to do their own evaluation of your condition and start treatment without a doctor's referral. No need to wait. That neck or back or knee pain you're dealing with can be dealt with starting next week. Call us to set up an evaluation and we can walk you through the process. The exceptions to this are generally Medicare, Tricare and Medicare advantage plans.

Knee pain can limit things you do for fun like pickleball or running or it can limit normal daily walking and standing we do throughout the day. The more you hobble around with a hurt knee the more likely you will get weaker and have more issues.

If you have knee pain, whether old or new, I can help you get back to walking or running. It’s what I do every day. We can assess what might be causing your pain and prescribe a plan to get it gone through proper exercises and modalities such as the stim in the video to activate lost muscle.
