From the latest treatment modalities to integrative therapies, our center offers holistic cancer care and support. Tammany Cancer Center, a campus of Ochsner Medical Center, offers world-class cancer care close to home. Services available include radiation therapy, chemotherapy, PET CT imaging, clinical research trials, nurse navigation patient support services, community screenings and education, plus a whole new integrative therapy program to support and treat the whole person, not just the disease. The center’s multidisciplinary approach includes surgeons, medication oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists and other specialists building upon the center’s proven highly personalized approach to patient care.

In all, there were 125 reasons to celebrate generosity this holiday season. ✨

Thanks to the incredible support of the Northshore community, 125 care packages – each filled with the ingredients for a full family holiday meal – were delivered to local cancer patients, bringing comfort, hope and holiday cheer to those who need it most.

These holiday food packages were made possible through the generosity of The IJN Foundation (In Jesus’ Name) and Northshore Food Bank and lovingly assembled by volunteers and students at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville. The packages were then distributed to qualifying patients at St. Tammany Cancer Center, A Campus of Ochsner Center.

This was truly a community effort and a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we come together to care for one another. ❤️

Spreading Holiday Joy 🎄✨

An early dose of holiday cheer lit up St. Tammany Cancer Center, a campus of Ochsner Medical Center, last week – bringing joy to dozens of cancer patients and their families.

We welcomed 73 children from 38 families who were greeted by Santa Claus, the Grinch, Buddy the Elf and friends for an evening filled with games, crafts and festive fun.

A big thank you to Winn-Dixie for keeping little hands busy at the cookie-decorating station with donated cookies. And a heartfelt shoutout to Ruby's Kids Inc. for providing gifts for every child, continuing a cherished holiday tradition.

We’re also grateful for the incredible support of our cancer center staff volunteers, St. Tammany Health Foundation, Heritage Bank of St. Tammany and the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office for helping make this magical event possible.

As we prepare for Thanksgiving this Thursday, we want to share our holiday hours to help you plan your care:

🏥 Emergency Services
All STHS emergency departments – including St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington and our standalone Emergency Department in Mandeville – remain open 24/7, as always. We’re here for you around the clock.

👨‍⚕️ Express Care & Primary Care Clinics
Express Care in Covington (80 Gardenia Dr.): Open 4–8 PM
Express Care Kids in Mandeville (3663 U.S. 190): Open 4–8 PM
All other STHS primary care clinics: Closed for Thanksgiving

🚗 Shuttle & Valet Services
All valet services and shuttle service to Parking Lot 10 (across South Tyler Street from the hospital) will be suspended Thursday.
Shuttle service to Parking Lot 7 (across West 8th Avenue from the hospital) will operate normal business hours.

🏥 Specialty & Outpatient Clinics
Closed for Thanksgiving

💊 Pharmacies
STHS Pharmacy at Braswell’s: Closed for Thanksgiving
