About Faith Home

Our Mission: Your Life, Recovery & Soul

Faith Home is dedicated to the purpose of leading the addicted to a life of victory in recovery through our Lord Jesus Christ

Established in 1966, Faith Home is a national & regionally recognized leading provider of Faith-based alcohol and drug addiction inpatient residential recovery program services to adult men and women. Founded by Danny W. Barnes, Aline Barnes and Rex McCravy, Faith Home initially launched by providing a residential recovery home to 14 men in Greenwood, South Carolina at the site of our current 67-acre main campus. Because of our unwavering devotion and commitment to Our Mission and His vision, God has graciously blessed and grown our ministry enabling us to serve the needs of men and women at our three campus facilities with 115 residential beds.

Faith Home is a 501(C)3 non-profit non-sectarian ministry and provides at no-cost to residents, an 8-Week residential Christian Rehabilitation Home and 12-Step recovery program and facility to over 40,000 to Men and Women seeking freedom from alcoholism and drug Addiction. Since the founding, our operations have been funded 100% through generous gifts (financial contributions, donations, services) our resale stores, our individual, corporate and church partners.

Faith Home is led by our Executive Director, Aline “Mama”. Barnes, the wife of co-founder Danny W. Barnes, Executive Director Emeritus. Mama Barnes, who served alongside Mr. Barnes until his retirement and subsequent death, was unanimously elected as Executive Director by the Board.

Under the direction of Mama Barnes, Faith Home rapidly expanded resident capacity by 40%, renovated and expanded the Faith Home Chapel, constructed new male staff and resident dorms, acquired and expanded Abbeville women’s facility, acquired and expanded additional Cowpens facility and modernized the resale operations. Mama Barnes’ remains steadfast and committed in her leadership to Faith Home’s Mission, Values, His Vision and Purpose of leading the addicted to a life of victory in recovery through our Lord Jesus Christ.
