They say I make no difference....

For how are they to know.

They sit inside their office....

Just going with the flow.

They have never felt my presence,

Touched my coat or breathed my air.

How can they make judgement...

When they have nothing to compare.

They have never seen me gently...

Pull someone from the edge.

Theyve never seen my silence...

Calm the voices in their head.

Theyve never felt their own heart rate..

Be regulated by mine.

Im not asking much from you...

Just a little of your time.

Come spend it in my presence...

Close your eyes, feel at peace.

Be completely in the moment...

For it will put your mind at ease.

I am not a magic healer....

I leave that to the best.

I am just a humble horse...

In 2019, 17.2 veterans died by su***de each day—a heartbreaking reminder of the immense mental health challenges our veterans face. 🎖️

But it doesn't have to be that way. Psychotherapy involving horses has shown incredible promise in helping veterans heal, rebuild trust, and find a renewed sense of purpose.

In a 2021 study published in The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry by Fisher, P.W., et al., psychotherapy involving horses has emerged as a promising treatment for veterans suffering from PTSD and other mental health challenges.

This therapeutic approach leverages the unique bond between horses and humans to help veterans reconnect with their emotions, and regain a sense of control in their lives.

Horses, being naturally intuitive, offer a safe space to help veterans process trauma in a non-verbal, and supportive environment with the guidance of a therapist.

Research has shown that psychotherapy involving horses can lead to significant reductions in PTSD symptoms and depressive episodes, providing a path to healing and leading lives with fulfillment and a renewed sense of purpose.
