Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Our Cozad and Eustis Medical Clinics, Hospital Specialty Clinic, and Outpatient Services all will be closed on Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day. Regular hours will resume Tuesday September 2nd . For immediate medical care, please visit our 24/7 Emergency Room.

The Cozad Hospital Board voted unanimously at the regular monthly meeting on August 28 to put Meadowlark Pointe Assisted Living & Memory Care Facility up for sale.

To be very clear, this is the planned sale, not closure, of the facility. In today's complex healthcare landscape, to best maximize reimbursement within a critical access hospital system, transitioning Meadowlark Pointe to an ownership that specializes in managing assisted living and memory care will give both the facility and Cozad Community Health System the best opportunity for long term success.

As part of responsible leadership, Cozad Community Health System continually analyzes the performance and sustainability of its service lines. This transition will allow Cozad Community Health System to focus on continuing to deliver the highest quality of family, acute, specialty and home health and hospice care, as well as surgical, diagnostic and rehabilitative services, while ensuring Meadowlark Pointe continues to thrive under ownership with expertise in assisted living and memory care. This decision supports the long term viability of healthcare in our community.

The need for a top quality assisted living and memory care facility in Cozad was recognized by the Health System many years ago, and Meadowlark Pointe has fulfilled that vision with excellence. Guided by dedicated leadership and a caring team, the facility has built an outstanding reputation for quality care and a warm, family like environment. This proud legacy has made Meadowlark Pointe highly attractive to potential buyers who share those same values.

Cozad Community Health System remains deeply committed to providing the communities we serve with high quality, patient centered health and wellness services, today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.
