SkinPen allows for precise needle depth adjustment measured in millimeters. Shallow settings address surface-level concerns tone refinement, early fine lines, product absorption. Mid-range depths reach into the dermis where real collagen and elastin production gets triggered the sweet spot for texture correction, mild scarring, and consistent skin improvement over time.

Deeper settings — 1.5mm to 2mm and beyond — are reserved for aggressive correction. Deep acne scarring. Significant collagen loss. Advanced texture issues that haven’t responded to surface-level treatments. More downtime, more visible repair happening beneath the skin, and substantially more impactful results.

The “pillow face” look is real. We’ve all seen it. And it makes complete sense that it would give anyone pause before sitting down for cheek filler. But here’s what’s important to understand that result isn’t what cheek filler is supposed to do. That’s what happens when cheek filler is done wrong.

Good cheek filler doesn’t add puffiness. It restores volume that was already there and has gradually disappeared over time. When placed correctly it lifts the face by repositioning tissue, softens smile lines from above, opens up the eye area, and creates structural support that makes everything else look better. Two appointments. Two months apart. One face that tells the whole story of why sequencing matters.

Danka started with tox for a brow lift to elevate the lateral brow and open up the eye area, paired with masseter slimming to begin softening the jawline and reducing the width of the lower face. Both of these needed time to fully settle before a single drop of filler was placed. That’s not hesitation that’s strategy. 🙌🏽

Why? Because tox changes the face. Masseter reduction shifts the entire shape of the lower third. A brow lift changes how the upper face sits. Placing filler before those changes have fully taken effect means you’re filling a face that’s still in transition and your result reflects that.

Two months later we’re ready for round 2! Cheek volume to restore the foundation and lift everything below it. Smile lines softened from above once the structural support was back in place. Lips refined and balanced. Chin and chin shadow defined to sharpen the lower face and create the kind of profile that makes everything else look intentional.

The trust you put in us as your providers means everything and we never take that lightly. Every photo, every question, every “what do you think I need” we see them and we genuinely love that you feel comfortable enough to reach out.

Not everyone is a candidate for a botox brow lift and knowing the difference is everything. 💉

The botox brow lift works by strategically relaxing the depressor muscles pulling the brow downward, allowing the elevator muscles to lift the tail of the brow without a single incision. When it’s placed correctly on the right candidate, the result is a more open, lifted, naturally defined brow that looks completely intentional.

The ideal candidate already has forehead and glabellar botox in their routine, has a heavier lateral brow or mild brow ptosis, has the right anatomy for lifting, and wants that tail elevated and refined.

But this matters: if you have significant skin laxity, true eyelid ptosis, or a very low set brow to begin with, botox alonemay not be your answer.

That’s the conversation we have before anything is placed. Because the best results start with the right assessment, not just a needle.

This is why we don’t try to do everything in one sitting. 💉

What you’re looking at is the result of a thoughtful, two-stage approach and the difference between doing it right and doing it fast.

Sitting 1: EZ Gel and cheek filler - EZ Gel uses your own biology used to stimulate collagen, improve skin quality, and lay a regenerative foundation before any structural filler is placed. Starting here matters because it prepares the tissue, improves how filler integrates, and means the end result looks more natural and lasts longer. The cheek filler in this first session began restoring the foundational volume, but intentionally, not all at once. Placing too much product in one visit doesn’t give you a better result. It gives you swelling you can’t see through and a face that hasn’t had time to settle.

Sitting two came after everything from the first session had fully integrated. With the foundation established and the cheeks already lifting, could accurately assess exactly how much additional cheek volume was needed and address the tear troughs with precision that simply wouldn’t have been possible before that foundation was in place. Tear trough filler is one of the most technically demanding placements in aesthetics. Doing it after the cheeks are fully settled means the result is dialed in, not guessed at.

The difference in the final result between this approach and trying to accomplish everything at once is not subtle. It’s the difference between a treatment that looks done and a result that looks like you.
