Have you needed an ambulance lately? Hopefully not. But did you know East Windsor Township does not have a 24hour paid Emergency Medical Service? When a medical emergency occurs after the paid crew is off the clock, our dedicated volunteer crews are called upon to render medical aid. When the volunteers cannot be assembled, our dispatch center requests a nearby town to send one of their ambulances. Too often this results in drastically extended wait times for an ambulance, even upwards of 20 minutes.

So far in 2023, about one out of four emergency medical requests have required us to rely on the surrounding towns. Despite numerous requests from Squad 146 Rescue to become a full time ambulatory service, Mayor Janice Mironov and Township Manager James Brady never once responded to their requests. Instead they’ve reportedly threatened to shut them down! The Township has made a clear choice not to establish a full time EMS crew, prioritizing their own profits over your safety.

Our sincerest "Thank you" to East Windsor Rescue Squad 142 and Squad 146. Your selflessness and commitment to this community is inspiring. To our neighboring towns - we thank you for your picking up the slack, even when our own Town Council refuses to. Perhaps it's Janice Mironov and Town Council who need to call for "Mutual Aid" and get East Windsor the complete services it deserves.
