With Dogwood Canyon – We just got recognized as one of their top fans!!! 🎉Anyone want to take a fieldtrip? You can ride a horse, take a tour or just walk around and enjoy Stone County's natural beauty. We are working on our 2025 calendar right now. Comment below or send us a dm if you are interested.

How many of our members would like to take a field trip to Marvel Cave this coming Spring or Summer? We are planning our 2025 calendar of programs and events. We might be able to talk with Silver Dollar City about a discount for Stone County Historical/Genealogical Society members if there is enough interest.

As we grow our membership and add to our exhibits, we really need your help. We have a great slate of officers and board members for 2025 but need more people to help. If your membership is up to date and you have some of the skills listed or want to learn, email us at schgs2016@gmail.com, or stop by the museum on a Thursday from 10-4 or a Saturday from 10-2. We will sign you up!

Before funding is made, many foundations and agencies check our ratings and grant fulfillment history. We currently are not rated. Your new board is doing our best to be as transparent as possible as we work to regrow our membership base and become a Great Nonprofit.

We need more reviews on the site below and more likes and reviews on our page Stone County Historical/Genealogical Society. Can you tell us and the world if you have had a positive experience? If you had a negative experience and have an idea of how we can improve that to bring you back, we want to know that too.

Writing grants takes time and patience. Just remember, even non-profits need to pay lighting, heating and other bills. Most grants only cover exhibits or educational programming. -Tina
