Sometimes it’s just those small, natural learning moments at the library, the grocery store, or around the house that build confidence and strengthen the foundation for everything that comes next. 📚✨

We're leaning all the way in to the Halloween spirit 🎃
ABA activities should be fun! BUT the real value is in knowing exactly what you're targeting and why...
👻 "I see some leaves on the ground - what color is this leaf?" (receptive identification)
👻 "What shape means we can cross the street?" (community safety)
👻 "Tell me what you see on that scarecrow's face!" (expressive language)
👻 "Can you hand me the small orange bead?" (receptive language with features, functions, classes)
👻"What color comes next in our pattern?" (visual perception, matching to sample)
When the look on our client's faces says: "Wait... that was work?!" That's the ABA therapy sweet spot 🍂

How many skills can you embed into a single activity!? Challenge accepted! 🙌
Our team is trained to creatively incorporate skills into each activity within our daily schedule and weekly themes. 🗓️ So what looks to you like your standard fall craft, if you observe a little more closely you’ll notice:
🎃Requesting missing items needed (e.g., “we need glue”)
🎃 Listener skills at various levels (e.g., “can you find me an orange circle?” or “get a red shape and put it on top of the tree”)
🎃 Social interactions (e.g., “can I use the green marker next?”)
🎃 Wh-questions about the activity (e.g., “when do you use glue?” or “why did you pick a tree?”).
These are just examples - the opportunities are endless, and depend on each individuals goals from their treatment plan. 🤔
Natural environment teaching (NET) requires skill and creativity - and our center-based program is designed to bring meaningful learning opportunities into every moment of your child’s day. ✨

Okay so here's the thing: "Special interests" aren't obstacles to work around - they're the foundation to build on. 💥
The kid who can't sit still during math class but can tell you everything about trains? That's not a distraction. That's a future career in transportation or logistics. 🚊
We love what we do because we get to see what happens when IEP teams stop focusing only on deficits and start asking different questions:

⭐️ What does this student love?
⭐️ What are they already good at?
⭐️ How do we build their future around THAT?

When we lean into unique strengths and interests, we're not lowering expectations. We're creating transition plans that actually make sense for the individual. 🙌 That's the work. And it changes everything. ✨
