We love watching our BCBAs work. ✨

This is Savannah in her element. Even in this brief clip, you’ll notice how she follows the child’s lead. Next is where a critical clinical SKILL comes in: She’s balancing flexibility and creativity while intentionally embedding meaningful and motivating learning opportunities. This is what separates ABA from GREAT ABA. ⭐️

One of our favorite qualities about Savannah is what you are probably also noticing here, too: She approaches her clients with genuine warmth, which naturally draws both her clients AND her staff to her fostering essential connection for growth. She’s truly one of a kind and is a great example of Ovation’s values in action! 🙌

Each year, and present a sensory-friendly performance of The Nutcracker, adapted for children and adults with sensory sensitivities.🩰

Dimmed lighting, reduced volume, spaced seating, a shortened runtime, and a dedicated quiet break room create an inclusive holiday experience that welcomes everyone.

The Nutcracker is a holiday tradition for many and this performance creates the opportunity for everyone to share in its magic.🎄

I saw this post from yesterday and it’s just another of the many reasons why we love her. Thanks Ms. Rachel for normalizing these conversations and being totally real and relatable. 🤍

My second little one was a late talker, too! In pursuing early support, we learned she was experiencing hearing loss - something we never would have discovered on our own so early on. With that information, we were able to get the individualized tools to help her reach her full potential.

It’s easy to compare, but every child is on their own timeline - regardless of what we do or don’t do. Our role as parents is to acknowledge when support might help and pursue it. Early support matters!

Early intervention, speech therapy, occupational therapy, ABA - these are powerful tools we have to help our children thrive. As parents, our strength is identifying when support could make a difference - and not hesitating to pursue it 💪

Head to her page for the full post and the sweetest video! ✨

Let’s skip the small talk and get into the honest conversations that will make the biggest difference for you and your family. And remember 🔔 We’re not here to judge. And we do not breeze through life as parents and clinicians just because of what we know - We’re BCBAs, but these are things we’re continuing to practice alongside you. So let’s get into it:
1️⃣ If you are too tired to follow through on a demand, don’t place it. It is actually better to say nothing than to say it and then give up because you’re exhausted.

2️⃣ If you are anxious, frantic, or angry, your child will match that energy. Sometimes the most effective intervention is just you taking a deep breath first.

3️⃣ If rules aren’t clear or change depending on your mood or who is in charge, children “test limits” not to frustrate you - but to figure out what the boundary actually is that day.

4️⃣ What feels easy in the moment might be what is keeping you stuck. Change requires consistency especially when it’s hard.

5️⃣ It’s okay to let them be mad at you. Being steady helps them feel safe.

6️⃣ We lay the foundation, but you build the house. The skills we teach in 1:1 and parent coaching sessions rely on your follow through to become lasting change.
We see you, we support you, and we know this work is hard. These are truths we, as clinicians and parents, are practicing alongside you every day. Let’s make real progress happen this week! ✨
