Early in my BCBA career, I was in a role that had evolved and become increasingly overwhelming. I had always been the type to want to handle things on my own, so I was proud of myself when I realized I needed to ask for help.

I approached my supervisor: "Can you help me figure out what to prioritize?"

"All of it." 💥

I handed in my resignation a week later. Not because I didn't care, but because I cared enough to know I couldn't stay and be the clinician my clients and team deserved.

Funny thing is, that supervisor gave me more in that moment than they intended to. That dismissiveness guides exactly how we show up for our team at Ovation today.

We don't expect you to "do it all."

Bring us the messy situations, the hard conversations, and the "I don't know what I'm doing" moments. We'll figure it out together. That's the job.

ABA therapy is most often talked about in the context of autism. And that's for good reason!

As an intensive, evidence-based therapy, it helps build communication, independence, and meaningful life skills for children on the spectrum.

But did you know that the principles ABA built on extend far beyond autism? 📈

They shape how behaviors are learned, strengthened, and changed - in all of us, at any age or ability level.

ABA may be structured in therapy sessions, but its principles are at work wherever learning happens - in classrooms, at home, on the playground, and yes, even at the bowling alley. 🎳
