Nimmo Receptor-Tonus Technique: Nimmo is a technique that uses pressure points to relieve hypertonus or hypermyotonia. When an injury occurs and remains for a long period of time, it can change the position of bones, causing body distortions. As the problem persists, muscles and joints become aligned in a way to relieve tension from the repositioning of bones, creating trigger points. Nimmo is a technique that applies the proper degree of pressure and at a proper interval to relieve this tension and the trigger point. SOT (Sacral Occipital Technique): Cranial method of chiropractic medicine used to determine any underlying spinal, cranial or organ related problems. SOT integrates the mechanics and neurology of the body to identify issues and relieve pain. Focus is placed on the relationship between the top of the spine/back of the head and the base of the spine to correct spinal subluxation.
