Dandelion
A flower? W**d? Herb?
On a walk the other day, this flower showed its beauty to me and made me think a little deeper….
A flower when we notice its bright gold face opening to the morning sun.
A w**d when it appears where we didn’t plan for it.
An herb when we remember its long history in teas, bitters, and traditional remedies.
It survives cracks in sidewalks, poor soil, neglect, and mowing—rooting itself deeply enough to return again and again.
There’s something admirable in that kind of persistence.
And yes—the transformation is beautiful:
from a little yellow sun in the grass
to a delicate moon of silver seeds which gifts us an opportunity for
wind-borne wishes.
Many people rush to remove what is common, stubborn, or inconvenient in life.
But dandelions ask a quieter question: What if resilience itself is beautiful?
So maybe before pulling one out, it’s worth asking…
Is it a nuisance… or a gift I haven’t recognized yet? 😉
